I would do that trade. If we could still land Mirotic even if it is for a lottery protected first we could have a lot of potential in that team.
Exum-Mitchell-Oubre-Mirotic-Gobert is an athletic, good shooting, great defense, and lots of potential starting lineup with a solid vet bench and most likely a lottery pick this year.
Oubre is cheaper for next season and has a lot more up side than Hood. He is a lot more athletic, can shoot well and play good defense.
Interesting. Oubre is having a pretty good year and is super long. Has a year left on his rookie deal after this. Exum/Mitchell/Oubre gives you a very long and athletic backcourt. Feels like a guy who could breakout next year in a bigger role.
I'd think Wiz say no as it would be difficult for them to keep Hood and Favors next year as I think they have a bad cap situation looming. Will probably look to trade Oubre next year and hope they can package him w/ Mahini.
Also, it would be hilarious to see Oubre's reaction because he strikes me as a guy who'd rather die than live in Utah.

I think this would cause some salary issues for the Wizards next year... They probably need to get out of Mahinmi if it were to work.

The Bucks do it because they receive the true defensive minded center that they currently lack. Without giving up a whole lot. They need to start winning to keep Giannis around. Picks aren't going to help you win as much as vets are.
The Bulls do it because they get the pick they wanted for Mirotic. They also get Teletovic who can step right into Nikola's old role as a stretch 4 off the bench.

I don't think its the worst trade Cy, but I don't think Washington bites. The trade does nothing to address their current luxury issues. And the trade doesn't make them better. It saves them some money next year only if Hood makes around $12 million.
As for us, why would we want to pay Gortat $10+ if we have Gobert, Udoh and Bradley?
