Would you?

Would you trade Exum and Hayward (S&T at ~$56m/4) for Wiggins?

People were ready to trade 5+23+favors for JP, not even Wiggins. What now?

I would.

But we were all thinking Exum would be gone. So it was the Gordon, Favors and the 23.
In hindsight, it's more like the #3 and #14 and Favors, since Exum was rated in Tier 1 and Hood supposedly had late lottery value.

If Wiggins is the next Lebron or Kobe and Exum is the next Wall, then YES you make the trade. I'm just not THAT high on Wiggins. All-star yes. Superstar...not sure. Exum will be an all-star too (or at least that level). Tough for Dante to jump ahead of CP and Lillard in the WC.

Yes wouldn't even breathe during the conversation for fear that the Cavs would come to their senses. Not a Jazz fan, but all I could remember following this forum through out the year is the masses claiming the need for a franchise changer. If you have the chance to take one of the higher rated guys I would.

Exum may very well be a really good player as he has what appears to be some strong positives, but he is hardly tested and has some serious limitations as well.

What if it was Hayward+Favors for Wiggins?

Cleveland gets a lot better and doesn't have to develop another rookie.

Jazz now have two potential changers and face guys, plus we suck again for a chance at next years stars.

Jazzfanz is full of surprises. I take it as Exum has impressed the people a lot, after the draft. I sure hope he is that good.

So does Cleveland have salary committed that I'm not remembering? They're trying to clear space for a max slot, but they're way under the cap. With Varejao, they'd be at about $37 million right?

By the way, this is important if the Jazz are to be a trading partner of the Cavs. If they can just take Jack back they could send Hayward.

Also, the Jazz would have a real tough time sending Favors AND Hayward because of their salaries. So if they don't want Exum, throw them whatever the hell else they might want. Hayward S/T + Unprotected 2015 and GS 2017?

Have to add in cap holds up to 12 players, including their #1 pick. I get around $46.3M for 10 players plus $1M more for minimum cap holds. I'm counting all guaranteed contracts PLUS Varejao since I think they'd want to keep him (he and LBJ are buddies). Best way for them to shed salary would be trading Waiters and Jack. That's $10.3M.

Philly would be a good trading partner for them.
