We need to make a trade... we can facilitate trades with cap space and pick up assets at very least. We will get in on something but I'm not sure it brings us a player back.

I think so. I say this not only because people are inquiring about Burke but Booker as well. And as discussed previously, teams like Washington are looking for a stretch big and Booker is going to come cheaper than Ryan Anderson.

How is Booker a stretch big? He's not even in the same stratosphere as Ryan Anderson.

I don't think they make a trade unless it's something for Burke or maybe Booker. I just don't see this team in a hurry to make a push yet. And they will probably make the playoffs without doing anything.

Nobody has claimed Booker is as good as Anderson. If you think I am ensuing this then explain your rationale. Also, some consider Booker a stretch big:

"The Wizards are looking for help at the power forward spot and a stretch-four type player is very appealing. Keep an eye on New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson, Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker and Utah Jazz forward Trevor Booker – all players the Wizards have at least inquired about. 6 days ago – via Basketball Insiders"

booker is not a stretch big

Shhh....we know that but apparently some GM's don't. Keep it a secret until AFTER he's traded.

I think Utah will get a minor deal done, either to increase depth or facilitate another trade. In the end, I think the price will be too high for either Teague or Hill.

I think burke gets traded

I think there is probably pressure to trade Burke now or in the off-season. It's looking like he will be the 3rd string PG next year, which is a bad scenario for a young player in his contract year who is use to playing. That is a potentially negative locker-room situation and would cause his value to depreciate.

yes i'm thinking Trey's dad has demanded a trade which is why Quin stopped playing him and he got left at home. All makes sense now.

Yes Burke plus picks most likely, booker maybe if interest from Wiz is legit he would come much cheaper than ryan anderson now and later

If they consider him a stretch 4, which that article does not say, then they are crazy. Because he is not in any way a stretch 4.

By the way in saying Booker will come cheaper you are comparing him to Anderson. As a stretch 4 there is no comparison, one is a stretch 4 and the other simply is not.

DL has been more active than not since he took over. First, he traded up for Burke, Gobert and Neto in the 2013 draft. Getting a 2nd round pick for Steve Novak. Making the deal with GSW (and getting the puck used to draft Hood.) Trading JL3 and some other non-guaranteed contracts to Cleveland for a 2nd round pick. Moving other 2nd round picks for cash or future picks. Shipping out Enes Kanter at the deadline last year. DL has proven that he's willing to make both small and big trades to gain assets and create cap flexibility. Don't see why this trade deadline would be any different.

I could see any of Burke, Booker, Withey and/or picks being moved here in the next two days. How big of a deal, I have no idea. . . but I'm fairly certain that he'll do something.

I think either Burke is moved 30 seconds before the deadline, or we get someone meh like Garrett Temple in a three team deal out of nowhere.
