After the presser and Locke's interview with him and his dad I'm drunk off of all the kool-aid I'm drinking in, if these keeps up I my die from kool-aid poisoning.
If NOLA's pick doesn't jump into the top 3. I doubt they will be a bottom 5 team, but I don't see them coming that close to making the playoffs either. Their pick is the one they are banking on, which should be the early favorite for the 25% chance at Wiggins.
I think NO competes for the playoffs next year. Look at their starting lineup:
Jrue Holliday
Eric Gordon
Igudala/Smith/other FA
Davis/Andersen
Lopez
If they get a max guy (Igudala, Josh Smith, Al Jefferson) they will compete for the playoffs.
Interesting.. I don't know why they would do that when we have the '14 loaded draft coming up.
Seems strange for them to not take a shot at that.
Probably because they are sick of being terrible. It sounds like axle eland might be doing the same thing.
Just strange.. after all those yearsssss of rebuilding, suddenly they have a chance at a legit All Star/All Pro, and they decide to stop what they've been doing suddenly.
From afar it looks like a smokescreen to me... to get the fanbase excited & sell tickets. I'm pretty sure they'll tank it closer to the draft. NO's pick given to 76ers is top #5 protected, so expect them to tank it ala GSW.

Trey Burke trivia: His grandfather was in the Air Force, and his aunt was born in Utah. Mother lived here as a small child, also.
I just hope we do not bring back Mo Williams. What a mess that would be. We need to bring in someone that is going to make Burke work hard for the starter position, but please do not let it be Mo Williams.
