You Need How Much Ammo? For what??

Over the past year the DHS has purchased 1.6 billion rounds of ammo. Enough to wage a war for 20 years based on the amount of ammo that was used during the height of the Iraq war. So far, the DHS has been very tight-lipped about what they need so much ammo for, essentially ignoring Congress' requests for a detailed explanation.

Congress should cut all funding to DHS until a detailed explanation is given.

obviously an attempt to corner the market and make a bundle re-selling.

Did you see that dunk by Lebron?

Its obviously has nothing to do with anything because if it did then that would mean that there is a conspiracy of some kind. But conspiracies don't exist. Just ask 90% of the population.

Remember people can't keep secrets. Someone would squeal if something was going on that shouldn't be. Thats a fact.

So go back to your tv's and main stream media. Nothing to see here.

Yep, there are no such thing as secrets in the internet era

no such thing as public psychological operations either, especially using anachronistic tools like mass media. Nobody ever dreamed of saying anything that would change the attitude, sympathies, anitpathies, or motivations going on in other people, anywhere on earth. And things like bullets, cannons, missiles have nothing to do with targets, either. And wars are not about changing peoples' lives or national boundaries. And business in not about realigning assets.

and government is not about managing people.

So we agree then?

Duchesne High School has purchased how much ammo? Aww, I think they're just planning to start a deer and duck hunting class.

Or could that be the Department of Hazardous Services. Maybe they heard about some pretty nasty radioactive $%^# leaking and are just preparing for a Zombie Apocalypse.

Government agencies are never rewarded for saving money. If they underspend one year, the next year their funding goes down accordingly. Obviously DHS has had extra funds to spend and needed to order SOMETHING to use up their budgeted funds. So may as well be the easiest thing to order as their fiscal year is ending,

No no no, pretty sure it is going to be used to fight the civilian militia when the gun ban is passed. Or they are going to store it on the moon for our future fight with extra-terrestrials.

The ammo grey market has gone bonkers lately, at least around here. Getting ammunition through regular retailers is a slow and tedious process anymore. Those who stocked up are taking advantage.

They're probably sending stuff to Korea or Iran to prepare for the inevitable war. They just want it to be "secret" do they keep it off the regular budget.

They used to just say they paid $20,000.00 for a roll of toilet paper but the public caught on.

well, when the bragged about Charlie's War I guess a few more folks saw the light. Nobody bragging about that any more.

No, they plainly said why they are doing it. . . . to keep the bullets in government hands in case any hotheads get going on resisting progress.

The way I figure it, the manufacturers are happy with the new business from both camps, and will probably donate to Obama's campaign again in 2016.

Wow, that's about 5 bullets for every man, woman and child in the United States.

Well, the jokes on the them because I've seen pictures of Scat and it would take at least 27 bullets to take that guy down.

The real question is why do we even have a Department of Homeland Security and who is going to have the balls to shut it down?

Probably because there is no black magic financial alchemy spell that you can cast to escape from the US fiscal situation so they are going to have be truthful with people eventually and acknowledge that they've been lying for years. So we're either going to have massive austerity, which will mean poor mobs running wild + confiscatory wealth confiscations that will make everybody mad. Or just a lot of inflation, which screws everybody and will have everybody mad. Should be fun.
