Lets all hope that DL doesn't fall for this insanely stupid Dante Exum hype. The kid is going to get torched in the NBA.

Why do I like Marcus smart so much?

If you watched any college basketball you will notice something about Marcus Smart....The kid is STEAL MACHINE. He creates all kinds of havoc on defense he totally confused and bedazzled the living **** out of Andrew Wiggins everytime they played.

it's dwade all over again....people said wade could go anywhere from 5 to 9 and he was selected by the Heat and turned into an absolute monster. Marcus Smart is a dawg....he'll beat your *** in the crowd.

I would be surprised if the Jazz draft Smart, honestly. He doesn't shoot well, doesn't have refined PG skills and is undersized for the SG. He's a good player, especially on defense, but I don't think he's top 5 in this draft.

and exum's shot is quite terrible from range too.

watch some exum games.

I watched the serbia vs australia game and serbia's double teams where making exum **** him self.

He was also getting beat down the baseline by some serbian kid. Exum dusted him a few times, but man it's a totally different game EURO to college to NBA.

I'd say his PG skills are actually quite good when you consider how long he's been playing the position.
 
I definitely think Smart is being overlooked by many people. Of the guys we could get at #5, he's definitely the most NBA ready. And has more upside than people give him credit for.
 
Spy is saying all the right things about Smart.

If we ended up with Smart, and then flipped Burke for some quality goods, I'd be pretty happy.

If we go into next season with two perimeter defenders who are better than Hayward, then we are going to be a lot better. Smart would be one of those chips.
