I cant believe the CJ option is losing. You people disgust me.

This.

As for the naked picture of me, well, I have one taped on my ceiling above my bed. Once you've had the delicious Raspberry Delight, you'll never crave tuna again. (just ask UB)

Losing Jefferson doesn't mean Kanter has to start. If a big isn't included in the trade to get rid of Jefferson, you could always sign a guy like Daniel Orton, Ryan Hollins, Joel Pryzbilla, Greg Stiemsma, or Ronny Turiaf to start. .
what the what?
Millsap and Favors?

Its a little too early to worry about Favors. All of the options are very current possibilities.

Technically, my worst nightmare is all of the above.
The biggest % of my worst nightmare is giving Miles a contract.

I voted Jazz extending Big Al. We can bury the other three on the bench (at a low cost), you can't say the same for Jefferson.

Just because you start one of these guys doesn't mean you have to play them big time minutes. My general idea would to play them 20-26 minutes, allowing Kanter to get 22-28 minutes per. We really lose that big post threat but so long as we make up for it by assessing another need (shooting, interior defense) it's not that big of a deal, especially considering Favors and Kanter will eventually develop a post presence.
If we signed any of those guys and gave them 1/2 the minutes at the 5, I gurantee you we would miss the playoffs. None of those guys NOR Enes right now, can compete against the better starting bigs in the league.

The only alternative would be to start Favors & Millsap. And then the question is: will Favors be happy playing most of his minuites at the 5?

I know how much some of you hate Jefferson, but the best hope we have is that he progresses as a passer and Favors can offset his weakness on defense. Right now - and I'm still a believer in Kanter - the best chance Utah has to compete is by getting 20/10 from Big Al. But Enes needs another 2 years to develop into a reliable, consistent starter, and even then he's not going to have a great offensive game. Favors is not an offensive force, either, and I really believe Millsap won't be around. He and his uncle/agent showed their colors last time. Fortunately, Utah was able to match. But Paul will be an UFA this time. I can honestly see KOC making a pre-emptive strike and trading Millsap, just like he did with Deron, if an extension is not reached by the deadline.
