Not really. I think they draftef a piece that (hopefully) made either Exum or Hood expendable as trade bait (we can't afford both.) They also Drafted a big defensive guy that helps limit Gobert from having to play big minutes when Favors is moved. I saw nothing from this draft that indicated that there was any hedging whatsoever that Hayward was going to leave and open up cap space.

This is a make/break year for both. Hood isn't going to draw a max contract, but he will draw interest (depending on how he plays next season). More important than replacing either of them, Mitchell looks like he could complement the team better than either of them.

There isn't a point guard in the league who is going to want to play against Mitchell. But for some stretches of games, Snyder is going to force them to do exactly that.
