Seeing that D-Will went 2-16 the other night against Phoenix and was embarrassed against the Jazz last night makes me sad yet makes me happy. Should we be the bigger man and have Jerry Sloan send him a FB message inviting him to ride the pine behind Dante and Trey so that he can get a ring?

Why does it make you happy? Sure, it turns out that it was a great move by the Jazz to trade him, but he never (publicly at least) demanded a trade and I never heard anything about him pulling a Kevin Love and outright telling the Jazz that he'd be leaving.

*Mad cuz D-Will is on his fantasy team*

I really like Deron, and it made me feel a little sad to watch him struggle against us. He and another forced emigre Boozer brought a lot of excitement and excellent play to the Jazz during the post-Stockton/Malone era. He has always spoken well of his time in Utah, and there's no reason to diss on him. I don't believe he would be the third PG on our team.

Ummm, have you ever heard anything positive regarding him, the locker room, and the coaches? I sure haven't.

D-Will would be a lot better here than Brooklyn. He could actually do what he does best, run the pick n roll with a fluid PF who can finish around the rim or hit the 15' jumper.

Hayward and D-Will were laughing and smiling when they were talking to each other before the game.

Time, money and switching places on the totem poll heals all wounds. Plus Hayward is as nice as the Mother Theresa herself.

I bet if you asked him about how he acted in his last season he would admit that he should have acted differently. His ego became preposterously huge. His play was amazing at times and his ego bought into it 100%.

According to the story DWill was the straw that broke the camels back when he ran the wrong play 7 times in the first half in Sloan's last game vs. the Bulls. Sloan went to management wanting him suspended and when they refused he quit.

You have heard literally thousands of positive things about him. He was here for 6 years and received nothing but positive press, and positive comments from coaches and teammates, until the day Jerry Sloan retired.

If you want to believe he's a bad human being, nobody can stop you. Remember things however inaccurately you like.

I think D-Will has gotten his fair share of humble pie at this point. I don't feel bad for him though because he makes a **** ton of money.

The one thing that D-Will has done that fans should appreciate is that he likes living here. His family likes living here. That is a good thing. He also never really talked smack about the team or market.

He brought some good times and his ego did get too big. He was prickly, but I think he has had to swallow his pride. He'd prolly love to come back, but it couldn't happen at his current pay grade (and play tbh).

Come on, Jazzfanz, stop spreading this irrational anti-Deron mythology. You're better than this.

I'm sure he's a fine human. But I think it would be tough to argue that at that point in his career he was not a very good team mate and was not coachable.

Is it believable that the clashes with D Will are what caused Sloan to retire? Sure. But having coached as long as he had, Jerry could have quit at any point. As for the suspension aspect of the story, I suspect that Jerry and management are probably the only ones who know the level of truthiness to it.

It was disappointing to watch him play the game without any intensity last night. I loved watching D-Will when he played for the Jazz. I'm curious what his next contract is going to look like...
