I think Brooklyn fans would crap themselves in excitement if Utah offered this. A lot of Brooklyn fans don't like Mason that much. He's already 25 years old and hasn't really improved his range or anything since he got into the league.

I don't know if being 25 in this situation is a bad thing. We need help right now, and he's real cheap on that rookie deal. Drafting another 19 year old big could take forever to develop and help us.

I'm not saying it's the greatest deal, but for a backup big??

Maybe we could extract something else from them too if it's such a good deal for them

The curse of George Hill dictates that whoever gets drafted with that pick will go on to become the next Kawhi Leonard.

No thanks to Plumlee or Hill or Batum or Sessions or Vonleh (although I admit that one would tempt me.) They can probably get a better player just by staying at 12 and waiting until the deadline to make any moves.
