I like how Rudy can catch the ball near the 3-pt line, take two big steps and dunk the ball. It's like seeing something from Jurassic Park.

Yeah, just had to get that off my chest.

I heard from a friend who knows a guy who works in the Jazz organization that Quin is installing a special "Timber" offensive set that will have Favors, Tomic, Hayward, Gobert and Exum on the court together. Rudy has already been switching off onto SG's who then can't get a shot off. So it's natural just to have him play off guard. Probably was supposed to keep this secret but Rudy went 7-20 from behind the arc today.

The finals just started and Rudy is already working on improving his game, practicing in the gym. That's the big win/take away I get from this. I'd rather see Rudy with some dominant low post moves, but having him as a threat from 15 ft is gonna help and keep teams honest.
But really...the dude is already working on his game. That's the win
This has been my feeling when I hear about Hood working out, Exum working with Quin and Rudy's improvement.

It seems as though they all see how close they are to being a playoff team and they're not wasting time getting there.

I love it!

Any benefitting basketball facet that Gobert can add to his game is something to get excited about. Those who don't think so, can literally **** the hell off.

When I read dat tweet -->

I gotta admit. This gif had me rollin' when I saw Dalamon's post. But really David Locke annoys the heck out of me and gots that irritating voice. I'd rather listen to Bill Simmons being a Celtic homer than listening to this beetoch. lol

No I'm not talking about the defensive end. Gobert puts an insane amount of pressure on the rim. This means his guy can't help when our wings get by their guy. If they miss their open shot Gobert is there for the putback/tip in. That is dangerous. Rudy shooting mid range jumpers not so much. Defense is about sacrifices. You can't cover everything. If I'm the other coach at best I have the nearest player put a hand in Rudy's face but I make sure my rim protector stays low.

If RG hits 65% of uncontested 15 footers this strategy would fail.

The good news (to those saying it's merely practice) is noone is going to block Gobert's 15-foot jump shot in a game so the contested statement is overrated.

Look at stats of contested versus uncontested shots. Very few shots are blocked compared to those that are missed from contention for various reasons.
