This roster doesn't suit Williams right now. In a couple years, if he's good for a backup role, then sure.
$27.5M from Nets.
Overall, he's giving up money in this move.
What did Dallas have to give the Nets?
LolOur starting point guard had a 1.68 ast/to ratio, averaged 4.8ppg on 35% shooting and attempted 32 FT all season. And his backup somehow lost the job to him. As long as our point guards suck that bad, we'll probably keep bringing in more of them.
Nothing? The Nets bought out Williams' contract, making him an unrestricted free agent. Anyone can then sign him.
Nets Daily: Hearing final number is $27.5 million buyout on $43 million, about 2/3rd of what DWill is owed. That’s $5.5 million on cap through 2021.
Why would D-Will agree to such a lopsided buyout?
He left $15.5 on the table??? He should have gotten $40m on the buyout and signed with Dallas for vet minimum to make up difference. I not only think his body is breaking down but maybe his brain is too.

He says this in like every interview ever. He has home here still. He does the Utah charities. This thing will happen I guarantee.
