Pretty lazy analysis. What evidence do you have that Booker won't be able to D up in the NBA? Did he play poor defense at Kentucky? Do you have specific examples you can provide? Booker has shown that he can score in other ways outside of the 3. More than half his points today were from ways other than shooting the three.

If you are trying to manufacture something out of the #12 pick, you look for things a little differently. Booker was worth a 12 pick, but will probably not be a top 10 player from this draft. Lyles has a chance of doing that at a position and skill set that is harder to find. It's the Trey Burke lesson. Jazz liked Glannis, but discarded measurable for the more polished, yet less athletic Burke. They probably won't make that mistake again. Fortunately the backup plan was all world. . .

I dont think you are saying this from a postional of stength? I dont think any one outside of a few delusions think Lyles has the potential to be a top player from this draft. a decent one yes, but some of you just keep acting like he is a super star in the making. Booker has LEGIT ELITE skills that have translated. Lyles had no elite skill and he sucks in SL. Im not even suprise he is not good. just confirming what I believe about him.

Ha ha I m not a commie! I know you know about KY and I am sure you say it already a hundred times about what you think, But I cant see what makes anyone think Lyles is a good strecth 4 sniper form any evidence we see of him. Booker is an assasain. He just seems hungrier than Trey too which I like.

I guess we'll see if you're smarter than DL and Quin. They saw elite BBIQ, passing and balance for a big man.

I'm not going to lie; I was mad after the pick. Not that I wanted Booker, I just thought Lyles was a terrible shooter. But I'm willing to give DL the benefit of the doubt on this one. They've been at this thing for a long time and have just a "little" more knowledge than I do.
 
You guys expect too much from a 12 pick. If he turns out to be a 15-20 min a night guy, then it was a great pick.
 
I don't know if the game is on NBA TV, but the Jazz play the Lakers, 4:30 Mountain time, today. I'll be watching on the game time app.....
