Are you saying Ginobili is on the same level as DWade and Kobe????

Is Popavich not on the same level as Phil Jackson????

I think he is. Manu in his prime was ****ing awesome. Did waaaay more than what showed up in the box score.

I would argue that Duncan made Parker and Ginobili a lot better and Popovich has even said Duncan is a big reason why he is a good coach. A lot of people would argue that as well.

The Ginobili is his prime was a bad, bad, man. He was arguably just as good as those guys at the time. The Ginobili with the long black hair was sick. So good. Probably the most underrated player ever.

Yeah I agree, Ginibili and Parker, as good as they are as players, would not have won 4 rings without Duncan.

Duncan on the other hand with another comparable cast could still win those rings.

While I agree, no way is he on Kobe's or Wade's level. Both those dudes were first options on finals teams. Ginobili was the 6th man and 3rd (maybe 2nd) best player on finals teams.

Imagine Wade and Duncan on the same time during the early to mid 2000's, Duncan would probably have 7 rings. What about Duncan and Kobe?

Ginobili averaged 8.7 ppg in the '03 finals, 18.7 in the '05 finals, and 17.8 in the '07 finals.

Great numbers, but nowhere near Wade who averaged 30+ in the '06 finals or Kobe's 30+ in the '09 finals.

Ginobili's career high in ppg is 19.5 in 31 minutes a game. While it's not all about scoring, he is nowhere near these guys come on.

Well if Kobe was able to win 2 more rings with Pau, I would guess that Kobe and Duncan could win at least 4-5 rings together just between them.

Manu pops out in every single advanced metric I've seen. Efficient, imaginative, etc., etc.

I love me some Ginobili don't get me wrong, you are a great poster as well, but on Kobe and Wade's level? Nah man.

Wade's brilliance was too short-lived for me. He was spectacular in '06, no doubt.

Kobe gets knocked down several tiers, in my book, for being a ball-stopping, selfish player.

Manu is one of the best 5-on-5 players I've ever watched. A better 5-on-5 player than Kobe and Wade, who were great at commanding offenses but needed to command them in a certain way to have an impact. Manu sees the floor incredibly well, and makes an impact on every possession. He isn't as good a first-option player as the other guys, but since there'll always be 5 guys on the floor, I don't have to evaluate him on those terms.
