5 Teams With The Best Young Nucleus In The NBA

My measure for growing a successful core is winning road games. The Jazz won 17 last year. Orlando won 12, The Lakers won 9, Minnesota won 7, and Philly won 6. Milwaukee won 18, but I still give the Jazz the nod because they had to get wins in the Western Conference. New Orleans got 17 as well.
THIS. Also add the fact that the Jazz were the best defensive team in the league after Gobert took over, the Jazz deserve to be #1 on this list. Historically speaking, teams as young as the Jazz aren't very good defensively. This is what excites me the most about this team...

Yeah, this thing is sneaking up on many casual fans. My brother goes on and on about what terrible moves the Jazz have made in recent years. His proof is that so many other teams are starting our former players. He's certain we would have been much better if we'd held on to those guys. He cannot comprehend the change in philosophy from signing journeymen to drafting and developing talent, and he absolutely refused to believe that we were purposely tanking or that teams would benefit in any way if they did. It will be interesting to see how he reacts as they rise to the top. My guess is that he will simply jump aboard the bandwagon and won't even remember or understand that he ranted against virtually every move they made in order to reach this point.

I'm gonna guess you're brother isn't a rocket scientist.

1. Jazz
2. New Orleans
3. Minnesota
4. Milwaukee
5. Orlando

Jazz will have a better record than NO this season. Minny is very scary if their talent develops. Lakers are all hype right now.

No offense but your brother and anyone related to him is a moron.

He's definitely no basketball scientist. I'll bet you would be surprised if you interviewed ordinary fans (including season ticket holders) at how many of them have virtually no clue about what's going on. Many of them are there to be entertained, and they are not particularly interested in what is going on behind the scenes.

I think if we are talking about on paper and the potential of the young guys MN would be #1, but as another poster said will all these talented guys ever come together as a team. Dont forget though that Rubio is still very young and either though he cant shoot if you put four other guys out there who can they will be very dangerous. Also they are still liable to stink the next couple of years and add another two high draft picks while our days of sucking should be over.

I think the Jazz have the most depth of those teams especially when you consider how young Hayward, Burks and Favors are even though people aren't putting them in the "young" core.

I think it is

Utah
Minny
Bucks
Orlando
Philly

I think Utah and Bucks are ahead of the game a little right now.

Hayward-25
Favors-24
Burks-24
Gobert-23
Hood-22
Exum-20
Lyles-19

No other team has seven guys this young, long, athletic, skilled and developed at such an age. Period. We have the best young core. We're gonna show it this year.

I've been stressing this for a while now. The year we went to the WCF with Deron the team won 3 more road games than we won last year. If you take into account the abysmal start with Kanter, I believe we are already a better road team than that WCF team. Utah is on the verge of a big-time breakout, so the bandwagoners should get a running start to jump on. Once again I'll make my prediction that Utah will have their best team this year since the days of John and Karl. #BestBelieve

Also, add a 25 year old Pleiss in long, youth to the mix.

Amen to that. Because once the season starts I am not slowing down. I will run you over if you get in the way.
