Dante injury - does this accelerate our timeline?

Burke, money and/or picks (we have lots) for Schroder?

Some teams will be looking to rebuild at the deadline. We have a couple of backup PG's in Neto and Cotton. I think DL could pick up a decent veteran for Burke and a couple of 1sts.

Well that, and that is Schroeder.

We need to go get somebody now. A strong season and making the playoffs would go a long way towards keeping Hayward.

With Houston getting lawson would we be able to use some picks and trey to get beverly?

How about holiday?

George hill?

Celtics could be an option. IT or Avery Bradley? They have got so many pgs that we might be able to get one without giving up much.

Good idea.
Only problem is what they would want from us.
They already have allot of picks and probably don't want trey

Dante will bounce back. ACL injuries for 19 year olds who don't rely on explosiveness aren't the end of the world. But I think this is an opportunity to pool our assets and get a quality starter PG, instead of hoping that Exum or someone else will develop into one. We don't need an all star to compete, just a good PG like Shroeder will do.

That's his main strength imo. We'll see how he comes back from this injury, I worry that he might get back to the timidness that we saw in his rookie year, afraid of getting hurt again.

Just got back from a camping trip and see this news. This effing sucks. We are going to have Dante in continual development hanging over our franchise. What I mean is

You can write off this year (for him... not us).
Next year if he is still not great he will get the injury pass (and rightfully so).
The following year he needs to play well and he better not have any set backs... this is his contract year.

We may have to offer big money to Exum and not have a great idea of what we have.

Not that we could have forseen this type of thing happening, but this is the downside of sitting back and baking cake. I think we can still wait until trade deadline this year though and see if Burke is still terrible before we need to make a move. There are some guys who could become available and we still have lots of assets.

They might take more picks... can never have enough of those honestly. Both would be good options though IT is a bit more disruptive to the whole ball movement thing, but would provide a higher upside.

If Exum shows any kind of potential at all, well pay him big. Look at Wes. This injury sucks all the way around.

Darren Collison - They said he would be ready for training camp. He shot 47% last year and 37% from 3.

Trade Trey Burke and whatever draft picks they want for him. He will be a solid starter and thats all we need.
