What's new

John Hollinger points out why the Jazz are screwed, Deron is leaving, and we wont make the playoffs:

So if Hollinger says that, doesn't it mean we're actually not that bad, Deron stays and we will rock in playoffs, does it?

That's not allowed per the forum rules and would merit an infraction. A summary of key points is all you can post.

Oh sorry guys.

Basically he hopes what happenend between Sloan and D-Will wasn't a " Kowtow" which is what happened with Lebron and Bosh when they neared free agency. And they left anyway, spurning the organizations that bent over backward to please them.

He thinks The Clippers have a good chance of signing Deron, as they have assets the Jazz cant match.

HE talks about Williams personality and calls him a "sourpuss". He goes on to talk about us being 3 games above the 9th seed, and our schedule not looking favorable. He says today's playoff odds give the Jazz a 46% chance of making the playoffs. That sucks. The Jazz need to turn it around, and fast.

He says Corbin has big shoes to fill, and he thinks the changes will be kept to a minimum. He thinks he will give Fesenko more playing time, because the Jazz desperately need his D.

The Article did not do much to lift my spirits.

I ruled out the playoffs the second Sloan resigned/retired/quit/was fired.

This team has a lot of issues and I think Sloan is the only coach who can maximize the talent well enough to allow for a chance at the postseason.

So this isn't a knock on Ty. He very well could be The Guy - but right now, the situation is disastrous. But we'll see. Hopefully the team can get it together and produce one final great stretch to give them enough room to slide into the playoffs.

But even then, do we want to be an 8th seed again? Maybe it's best we tank and hope for a good lottery pick - though it's probably too late for a good position. :/

As well as we've seen this team play, I think they could be a dangerous opponent in the 8th seed. Especially if they get their **** together.

The Clippers worry me as well. Baron will be gone soon and would be an appealing destination with Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, and legit center D'andre Jordan there. That core beats our core. Bledsoe and Aminu are promising rookies as well that may be significantly better in a year.
Let's not forget Howard can also opt out the same year as Deron and you know they have thought about it. Overall the chances DWill stays are slim, because this will be his last prime contract and chance to get a ring.

trade him?
You know Curry, Udoh, and multiple picks sounds pretty good when you say ^what you just said^
