He has often disagreed or expressed concern/caution to moves the FO has made.

It appears as though he's being thorough and credible because his analysis is backed up by proper stats, but there is always going to be a hidden agenda as long as he is being paid by the Jazz.


I don't mind him, he is enthusiastic and is passionate. We just have to remember to take his analysis/opinion with a grain of salt as he is after all being paid by the Jazz.

His stats thing he made up has Trey Burke being one of the worst players in the NBA. I'm sure the Jazz love Locke showing that.... He still does though. Get a brain. Locke has considerable freedom on his podcast, he just can't say toxic/inflammatory things.
 
Locke is one of the better media people I have ever seen who can be honest on a player evaluation and be critical while still being respectful to the player at the same time.

Posters like Stifle and Crocodile Dante can go suck on some phallic objects. They are the tools.
 
The amount of work Locke puts in to give Jazz fans daily content is pretty remarkable for a local sports radio announcer. The lack of appreciation some posters show is laughable.

He basically just says he liked Withey in Kansas and thought he had potential. He thinks Withey has shown he is a NBA player, just played behind Asik and Ajinca, so never had a lot of opportunity. Thinks Withey might be better than Pleiss.

Also seems to think the Jazz will cut Cotton, saying he will be surprised if we have 4 PG's on the roster.

Semantics. If we cut Cotton, we really have 2 pg's and Neto who was mediocre overseas in a lesser league is our one and only backup. That's a big risk for a team who wants to make the playoffs.

I'm not saying Cotton is the answer at the spot. But he leaves another option and keeps Neto honest and maybe makes things a little more competitive.

Are you saying the injured Exum counts towards the 15 man squad? I don't get that 4 PGs on the roster thing.

No, you have 3 PG's and 1 is injured. It's not semantics, it's facts.

Uhh, duh. You don't get taken off the 15 man roster because you get injured. You only get an injury exemption if you have 3 guys go out with season ending injuries.
