The Official 2016 Lottery Watch

our "franchise" player who goes 1-5 and then 4-11 when we really need him to step up

TBH Gordon has been pretty good this season.. even the "4-11" line youre referring to netted him 20 pts.. 20pts on 11 shots.. is really good.

anyway, i think i'm with you that the lottery may be the end game of this year. And that might not be a bad thing. A decent spurs team got banged up and ended up in the lottery and got Duncan, and then went and won 4 chips. A decent jazz team, with injuries, could get a great player, and heal up and make some noise.

NBAdraft.net mock??? Really??

Sabonis and Buddy Hield are way overrated, no Henry Ellenson is crazytalk... here's a better one;

1 - Brandon Ingram 6'10 SF - Duke
2 - Dragan Bender 7'1 PF/SF - Maccabi Tel Aviv
3 - Ben Simmons 6'9½" SF/PF - LSU
4 - Jamal Murray 6'5" PG/SG - Kentucky
5 - Henry Ellenson 6'10 PF - Marquette
6 - Skal Labissiere 7'0 PF/C - Kentucky
7 - Jaylen Brown 6'6" SG - Cal
8 - Zhou Qi 7'2" C - Xinjiang Flying Dragons
9 - Jakob Poeltl 7'1" C - Utah
10 - Kris Dunn 6'4" PG - Providence
11 - Furkan Korkmaz 6'7" SG - Anadolu Efes
12 -Stephen Zimmerman 7'0 PF/C - UNLV
13 - Ivan Rabb 6'10" - Cal
14 - Jonathan Jeanne 7'2" PF/C - Espoirs Le Mans

Dragan Bender is an awesome name.

The Jazz in all likelihood have the worst starting guard rotation in the league right now with Neto and Hood. Since the Jazz committed to developing young guys to achieve 'internal growth' it was obvious the talent was going to be a bit thin. Then losing Rudy, who was the great equalizer (DPOY), left us too devoid of talent.

We need Rudy's defensive presence and his rebounding in order to be competitive. Our offense was always going to be middling, so we need to win the rebound battle every night and hold other teams down. Otherwise we're not going to beat many teams. Replacing Rudy is simply not an easy thing to do. You just have to wait it out.

I don't think the Jazz were trying to win much this year. Having guys like Ingles, Millsap and Chris Johnson actually play rotation minutes is a red flag. Again, the Jazz are playing for internal development. They want to win in a couple years, assuming they can re-sign Hayward.

Jamal Murray is far and away the best guard the Jazz could find in this lottery. He's worth trading up for, his shooting stroke is PURE and he's got a ton of tricks up his sleeve. He's 6'5" and a PG but could function seamlessly as a SG or in a featured 6th man role. He could play as the 8th or 9th man in the rotation right now, and was just a Jr. in HS last year.

Thanks and make this thread. At least it is do about jazz and not only about poster egos. This is the one we should use talk about potential Jazz player. Thanks to you.

It's outdated though. Check their site, thats not the order anymore. The Jazz are 10th now, taking Sabonis. Which won't happen for a variety of reasons.

All I am say is use this one talk jazz and you can say what you want in your own free forums(potential pick) ok?

BUMP. :p

Overly down on Hayward and Hood after their early season struggles in my OP, but no PG and DL did nothing even remotely significant at the deadline...AGAIN! How does he justify keeping his job? Well, I guess because he invites 100 players to work out pre-draft so he can find Utah all those hidden gems.

Hint to Dennis: just attend a few DLeague games with homey; he can hook you up with all of the end of the bench players you need. And the board gets to keep the extra cash from 60 fewer workouts. Win-win! Even better, just find a buddy (San Antonio?) and arrange to attend their workouts, cancelling all of those in SLC. It's pure GENIUS and really boosts profit margins.

One more summer, then it's LindseyBegone for me if the status quo remains.

Well, I lied. I've already made LindseyBegone my signature.

After the loss tonight, the Jazz are now 3 games out of 8th. They are also 1-2 against the Rockets, so a win @ Houston would be needed to even that tie-breaker. If the season ended today, the Jazz would, pre-lottery, get the 12th pick. But cheer up, the Jazz are only 3 games out of the 8th pick.

Big night for lottery implications. Jazz are just three games back of the 8 slot in the lottery and 3 games out of the playoff 8th spot.

Washington is in a desperate place outside of the playoffs trying to get in.

A few teams ahead of the Jazz in the lottery order are still trying to win games. #8 New York doesn't have a pick, it goes to Denver.

#9 Denver is shipping its pick to Toronto, so winning doesn't hurt them. They are5-5 in the last 10.

#10 Milwaukee is also 5-5 in the last 10. Kidd might be coaching for his job.

#11 Orlando was on the verge of the playoffs until they traded Channing Frye and Tobias Harris. They are only 4-7 since the trade.
