What the hell happened to Millsap and Booker? I'm trying to remember a time where I've seen one guy lose almost all of his touch.... and it's happened to two guys, at the same time, on the same team. I'm not saying they were ever great, but this year you can see how badly their shots are going to miss from the moment they leave their hands. Ugly.

Sap can't shoot and Book ain't gonna be here next year.

Booker is playing better but millsap has made just one shot all year outside the immediate basket area. I think he's an average defender too... Last year he was a good defender... That cake is burned.
 
How about McDermott?

If we need scoring off the bench, he can provide it. His defense is apparently Kanter-level pathetic though.

KJ McDaniels was always a nice player last year and I touted him before the draft if he fell in the second round. He isn't getting time on a deep rockets team and $3 million counts against the cap pretty soon. So, I could really see it being a nice pick. I like Milsap, but he is virtually invisible on offense. Chris Johnson deserves some run too. We should see CJ tonight. He has shot well and his defense hasn't been as hard to pick out as others in the system.
 
Wasted thread. This team isn't contending no need to make any trades. What good does a trade do? No plausible trade will turn us into contenders.

Yeah, McDaniels is worth a look. Sending them nothing or a token asset (2nd rounder) to save them a ton of cash for someone that isn't playing seems to make sense for everyone, McDaniels included.

Would save them roughly $7 M this year plus whatever the allocation they would get for being a nontax team... Roughly $10 M in total plus opens a bit of space next year which they actually do use to chase FA usually. Plus a second rounder... For a guy that isn't in the rotation and probably should be.

Amazing logic here... So any move that doesn't make us a contender shouldn't be discussed? Let's just close the jazzfanz then.
 
Id rather McDaniels too but I get the feeling we'll see more Millsap, Johnson and they pickup a DLeaguer

What good does it do other then cause us to waste an asset?? CJ IS as good as anyone we could get out of the dleague. Seriously, what's the point of adding a short term fix for a team that isn't going to make any noise?
