Just because someone else did it doesn't mean the people who did it planted the evidence.
So what's your theory? The brother in law raped and killed her but the police planted the key and the blood?

I know what cy's theory is.
his theory is that whatever you say is wrong and he just wants to disagree with whatever your theory is and point out ways that your theory is wrong and try to make you look dumb. And act like an *******
I just watched episode 3 and saw the confession of the kid. How does anybody actually buy that? That was the most strung along, feed the the guy exactly what you want him to say load of crap ever.

I appreciate the spoiler warnings. I'm on ep.3 so I haven't read most of the posts yet.
So again, I'm on ep.3
The way they worked the confession from that kid makes me completely sick. False confessions are not only real but somewhat common. I don't know what else will be revealed, but what the kid has said as of ep.3 is completely worthless. There's no way to have confidence that it's based on the tiniest sliver of reality.

I've still only watched 5 full episodes and a little of 6 and am rewatching (just started episode 3) again, this time with MsSerp.
Anyway, I post this because I've thought the setting and intricate plot here would make for a fanTAStic season 3 of True Detective. Season One brought us an entire world in Louisiana. Not only the visual setting but the characters (pitch perfect acting from every little role), the music, everything. Season 3 with this could be similar. Very bleak like Fargo, the movie (I've not seen much of the show), yet different with a fascinating dichotomy between the Avery's and what seems to be pretty much the rest of the town.
