Letting Hayward go would mean watching him walk for nothing after next season. Not trading him and recouping value. The draft pool is far from finalized, 1st round picks show up late, who knows if someones got a Bruno Caboclo hiding somewhere, or Juan Vaulet from the last draft.
Then there's also value in Haywards contract coming off the books, pretty sure it'd cut the salary to 40 something mil next season.. and according to this article the cap will be 108..
I'm looking at top 4 this year and even with the top 4 I'm not 100% convinced there is a sure bet All Star ala last year with Towns, Okafor, Russell and Porzingis.
Simmons - question his shooting.
Ingram - may be good.
Bender - a Euro.
Kris Dunn - old.
