What's new

Shelvin Mack

Especially when burks comes back there will not be any minutes left for Neto and maybe not Burke. I'd rather roll some variation of burks, Johnson, ingles than either of those guys right now.

I'm not sure there is any getting back mentally. He's always sucked, except for like a month.

He was pretty good until about 10 games ago. Still streaky but he looked much better even on his off nights.

I like CJ now... He went through a stretch that reminded me of millsap and it was bad. He plays his *** off and so long as he just shoots the open three instead of trying to drive I like him.

hit the nail on the head, he did go through a bad patch, now his hustle is focussed and constructive and his shot selection is much much better. Solid end of bench player

Yeah cuz it takes so much balls to start your 5th overall draft pick. Completely different set of circumstances.

Of course Sloan had the balls to not start the 3rd overall draft pick.

Why would Quin worry much about demoting Neto? Neto's future here is at a 2nd or 3rd string at best anyways.

Mack is actually a decent player - for a 2nd string.

Atlanta was very deep at PG - Teague and Schröder are both top 20 NBA PGs, but on the same team. On a sidenote, we totally should've taken Schröder over Burke 3 years ago - he was actually projected to go to Jazz in many sites.

Mack is what he is, a 2nd string who plays with a ton of energy - which is already better than Burke and Neto. Rotoworld, a surprisingly good source of getting player info, already called Mack taking over the starting spot when the trade was announced.

Shelvin was alpha and really controlled the pace of play, especially the in the 2nd. I thought he and Booker had good chemistry with similar pace. Others not so much. Will Gobert run with Shelvin and contribute on both ends of the court. Mack's drive and dish game looked amazing. Holding teams to 90 or less may become less frequent.

Agreed. I liked the way he initiated the offense so quickly. Maybe it's just that Mack had barely practiced with the Jazz, but when Neto and Burke come up the floor it's very deliberate to the point of being plodding at times.

I'm sure Mack took Portland by surprise. They certainly didn't gamelan for our pg to break down their D on attack.

Love Snyder but does he have a killer instinct? He screwed the pooch by taking him out at the end of the half.

I think he may have been referring to having Neto be the starter. And if he wasn't, then I'll make that point because holy ****.
