Harp was terrible his first few years, due to trying too hard. Then he got better, but was kind of a shameless Homer. Now it seems like he's tried to listen to feedback and adjust his game, because he's pretty damn good anymore. He's up there with the best in the league IMO.
He's posting here under another handle, yo. The Smurf one

I love boler.
Don't mind hapring or Boone.
Brown makes me wish for a quick death
True about boler.Boler has the voice for it but other than that he's pretty bad. Complete opposite of Locke who sounds like a dying animal when he gets excited.
This guy.

I agree. He's putting in the work and it's starting to show. So glad our commentators aren't total homers like some others that I've heard. They display a good knowledge and always exercise humility and respect for the other teams.
I watch a lot of live streams with commentary from other teams. NBA announcers are by and large not homerish. They're also mainly unbearable trash who say the same stuff over and over and over just like ours do.
There are few I've found as listenable to as Boler and Harp (and I can't stand Bolerjack's pbp).
Poll: would you rather listen to Locke's radio or miss 10 games in a row?
I'll take the 10 game suspension. He's worse than Steve Brown.
Atlanta has a good broadcast, I think. The lead is an old-school white guy who does a decent job all around, and Dominique is solid. Imagine if Boler were 200% more mature and knew the game 100% better. Then, imagine Harp as an actual NBA legend.
Nobody is worse than Steve Brown... Locke is fine... he's a little over-prepared for me sometimes with one liners.
I appreciate Matt Harpring. Always have, always will. <3
