I think that everyone pokes fun at everyone. I doubt it was anything too extreme (admittedly I wasn't around for it or plain don't remember it) or by a majority of posters.

Ye. Most members supported him/her (can't remember which) as a person and those who didn't were banned. If anything, we were over-the-top supportive to the point of catering even though he/she asked for most of the abuse she got. You can only ask so much patience from people, or soft love for that matter.

In all the discussions of late on transgender issues, I've been thinking often about a poster here whose original Jazzfanz name I cannot remember (real life name was John) who then became KatieMCR. Does anyone know if she still posts here or anything about her?

I had several private chats with her throughout the experience of coming to terms with her gender identity. As I knew nothing about it, I did a lot of research at the time to try to understand something outside my experience. I owe her a debt of gratitude for expanding my knowledge and understanding and compassion, and I hope her life has been wonderful and lived on her own terms.

Not sure if it was her original name, but before she was KatieMCR, I'm pretty sure she used a name that started with Jack.

She seemed to follow the local SLC music scene pretty closely and would often post about one or two of her favorite singers/bands.
I'm old and senile so I can't recall the specifics but the MCR part of her name was for one of her favorite bands.
