What's new

After Golden State/San Antonio/Cleveland are there any teams that are clearly better than the Jazz?

I think the Jazz will likely finish ahead of Portland and Memphis and take the 4th seed. If we win the division, I think technically we'd be guaranteed the 4th seed. It's very likely that OKC trades Westbrook.

I'm pretty sure they changed a rule where winning a division doesnt guarantee you home court in the first round, its all based on records for the seeding.

The team that has the better record between the 4th and 5th seed gets homecourt advantage, but a team that wins its division is placed no lower than 4th in the seedings. It's a bit weird.

I see us ahead of Portland. With Hill and Exum guarding Dame and McCollum they'll be better held in check.

Silver changed that last year. Now the division winner is only guaranteed a playoff spot, but can finish as low as the 8th seed.

I've been trying all morning to get a pic, but the girth and length are just too large. Maybe I'll go buy a selfie stick later.
Are you calling yourself a big dick? I don't really see you that way. I agree that you're overly cocky, but I don't think you should be quite so hard on yourself.

Memphis with Gasol, Conley and Parson?

Clippers still strong.

Blazers will be better.

I don't think the Blazers will be better doe. Had we been healthy last year, we would have finished with a better record. Now We are deeper and better defensively and now will have a pretty decent offense. Instead of Booker, Chris Johnson, Raul Neto, Trey Burke, and Joe Ingles playing important mins for us, we'll have George Hill, Joe Johnson, Dante Exum, Alec Burks and Boris Diaw taking them. I think having Hill and Exum defending at point of attack will make our Defense special again.

Also can't wait to play the Blazers. Hope we get to see Hill and Exum check Mccullum and Dame. I think they will shut those guys down, relatively speaking.

I don't know but it seems to me the Jazz lacks some toughness. They need someone that leads by example by playing through injuries, take hard fouls, getting under other players skin and try to throw them off their game. A player that's not afraid to get in another players face and stand up for teammates. The Jazz need some fiery attitude and display of emotion to fire up fans and teammates. The Rudy Salute kind of disappeared last year and we lost Bookers toughness. Do we have a tough guy on this team? Do we have a fiery emotional leader? Or do we have a bunch of guys that will nurse injuries and back down to physical contact? Too me that's all were lacking to finish 4th or 5th overall.

Best to worse teams:

GSW
CLE
SAS
LAC
MEM
TOR
UTA
POR
BOS
OKC

Best to Worst as far as record:

GSW
CLE
SAS
TOR
LAC
BOS
MEM
UTA
POR
OKC

Due to the eastern conference being weaker I expect Boston to finish ahead of Utah but think Utah will be the better team.
