Hayward an Allstar?

I'd rank our best one on one scorers as Hayward, Johnson, And Burks as a distant third because he scores, but doesn't nothing else. At least Johnson and Hayward can get points for other players.

Overall scorers as Hayward....then a huge gap and Johnson/Burks/Hood as a distant second.

His usage should not go down. It should go up. He is by far our best player. By making Hayward a SF instead of a PG, you should be able to put in a position to take more shots with less defenders around him.

You don't take away shots from Hayward so Hood, Hill, Johnson, Burks, etc can shoot it more. The whole point of Johnson and Hill is to open up the floor and set up Hayward for more shots that have a better chance of going in.

I'll bet you the farm that Hayward's usage goes down. Johnson's (likely 16-18% usage) minutes comer from Ingles/ CJ (<14% usage). Booker's <15% usage goes to Lyles (likely 18-20%) and Diaw (likely 16-18%). Rudy's usage will increase. The only plus factor for Hayward is moving Burke.

Usage is zero net sum, and Hayward is happy to have help on offense. He'll use it, his assists go up and usage goes down.

Well, if the Jazz don't stink it up and Hayward is contributing a lot in wins for the team before the All-Star weekend begins and then yes, coaches would vote for him as a reserve player. It's a lot difficult making the All-star team in the west than the east cuz competition is quite tough and hella lot of extremely good players.

Hayward will never be a 23-25 ppg player. He's simply not on that level. Given maximum opportunity he's averaged 19/5/4. That's who he is and that's who he will continue to be. On a championship level team he's a third or fourth scoring option, 12-15 ppg. He's not a 23-25 ppg type who takes over games offensively on a regular basis.

If we are a good team this year as we all expect I think Rudy Gobert will make the All Star team. Our defense should be one of the best in the league which will be a good case for him. Hayward probably won't make it because of more hyped players in the west at the wing position KD, Klay, Harden, Khawi, and so on.

Eh. Curry has Thompson. Jordan had Bird. Malone had Stockton. Shaq and Penny, Wade, Kobe. LeBron had Wade/Bosh, Irivng/Love.

You can't win AND score a ton on your own.

Hayward will go to another level this year. I'm not saying he will be any of the players listed above, but he can get to 23-25 points per game and I think it happens this year.

I could see Hayward being an all star next year. But I actually see his minutes per game and points per game going down due to more scoring options and more depth.

I think Haywards PPG/Apg both go up......I think with Exum SPG go up for the Jazz and team scoring goes up.I think GHill and JJohnson avg less than their 12 ppg last year.I think Hayward ,Hood ,Burks ,and Favors are the point makers for the Jazz this year with Exum and Lyles ready to assume a bigger scoring load by all star break.

At the end of games, you take the ball out of Hayward's hands and put it in Hill's.

No you don't .....GHill's 3.5 apg last year tells you he's not a facilitator.I think Exum will lead Jazz in apg and easily.Guys here are trying to make GHill a more productive player than he has ever documented before. He's not a big scorer or delivers alot of assists, why can't he be what he is,a smart hardnosed ball player who complements the Jazz and adds depth.
