Utah added about 2.2 VORP in George Hill over Neto/Exum but that's about it. The bench is still mediocre. Joe Johnson is about as good as Joe Ingles, Boris Diaw is old, Burks has a negative VORP and can't defend, and Exum is garbage.

I could see a 7.6 improvement from Hill + health, but wouldn't bank on much more. The fact that that gets a 3rd seed speaks about the poor health of the league more than it does the state of Utah's competitive stature.

Logic would indicate that if our bench was mediocre, then there'd be 10-15 teams in the league with better a better bench.

Care to list them?

Eh, we need a sixth man of the year candidate as we have no true stars in the starting unit. Replacing less than the best with average players isn't going to do much. Hopefully QS can mix and match well enough to push this team to 47.6 wins.

Most importantly, I believe that part of being an effective troll is to not report super weak insults that are a stretch to be considered personal. If you troll the board incessantly you have no known personality for people to insult. A wise troll should know this.

Otoh, reporting super weak insults as a way to antagonize Saint Cy is a great trolling tactic.

In conclusion, I am torn.

You only down play the Jazz. You have yet to post in an encouraging and positive manner about them. That is why you're a pessimist.

I'd say expecting them to win 50 is pretty encouraging. You just have to pull off his wet blanket to see it.
