I think this card will be forced. We have to figure out the Hayward puzzle. If we are doing alright by the trade deadline and think he will stay then I agree with the 3. But if we are doing crappy you could see Hay traded before the deadline so we don't lose him for nothing, which effectively puts us back in rebuild mode. I don't think Favors has what it takes to carry a team on his own so without a Hayward with him we fall off hard.

Hayward is why the over/under bet at three is so hard. I'm almost certain he walks next off season as the LHM Co. as a long, storied history of refusing to spend money to put a product on the floor. They've done nothing for two years now because they had a great sales pitch to fanboys. The Tibor Pleiss dump that piggybacked on the Enes Kanter salary dump fiasco...

If Hayward re-signs I doubt he does for more than 2 years with a player option. He wants to win and the Jazz are not providing that for him.
