IMO, this is nothing more than Locke, a Jazz employee, taking the slant the ownership and front office want him to take. Jazz can't keep Alec beyond his contract. Just do the math: Hayward, Favors, Gobert, Hood, Exum and Lyles will likely put Utah very close to, if not over, the tax threshold. It's probable one of those six may even need to go. It also means the rest of the team has to be comprised of rookies and vet minimum players.
Jazz made their choice of Hood over Burks (and I agree). But I wish Utah would build a player up ( to increase trade value), instead of ripping him apart to justify to the fans and create a false reason to trade him.
