Hayward to opt out

Also, I am refusing to click this article... they will get zero clicks from me for this ****.

Agent is not so important. He'll get a choice of several max offers and decide where he wants to play. All Jazz can offer him that others cannot is 5-year contract (assuming they do not use their only 5-year Bird exception on Gobert first).

Which is 30 million more guaranteed... If the Jazz are good this next year, it will make it especially hard for him to choose to leave. Plus, him and Robyn seem to really enjoy Utah.

Hi.

Not to press a point but I am still wondering why OP called this recent opt out by GH a debacle?

Hi guys, wanna play this cool new interactive game? https://rebuildgame.com/

Cool thing is you can rebuild as many times as you want to.

I'm pretty sure from the conversations in this thread that Hayward is fully replaceable, in fact it sounds like we have 14 of him already signed or something. His kind must be a dime a dozen.

I haven't read most of this thread but does Hayward move the needle on us contending? If not, why any fuss at all if we're not in legit contention?

Not sure why anyone thought or thinks Hayward will not opt out this next off season. There was never a doubt he would. The real question is if he walks away from a massive contract from the Jazz to take far less to go to a contender. I personally would be surprised at his age if he did that, especially based on the fact we will be a solid playoff team and still very young. There will be only a handful of teams that will be better off than us going forward. I doubt Cavs or Ws will have room to sign him, who else is left? Spurs? that might be it and they might not have room either. Unless you think Hayward is going give up 50+ mill to go to a different team which is unprecedented in the NBA.

Or I guess you could be in the Jazz shouldnt/wont resign him. But lets put that to rest. If Jazz have any doubt he will leave they will trade him at the deadline, I put the chances of this happening at next to none. Unless this team absolutely flops leading up to the trade deadline. If not they are maxing him and he is staying.

Auto Correct*

Because he is who he is.

too right .. trade his sorry *** before he walks for nothing, he's not a number one option, he's overrated, Jazz can't win with him as the number one, he ain't worth the max, but we should be able to trade him for the number one two and three picks in next years draft ...
