Steve Bannon Quotes

Can you explain what was so offensive with what he said about Romney?

I don't think it was offensive. The other ones were though. The Romney comment was kind of odd though, just didn't really even make sense. Plenty of people don't serve in the military.

Thats just not true. Its that you are accused of racism when you support things that have nothing to do with racism. Like the law. Its seeing racism, when there is none.

There are plenty of studies and information showing racism is alive and well in this country. Black people and other minority groups have an uphill battle in many ways. I have shown the information and statistics as have others and you choose to ignore it. Again no group in this country receives more special treatment (which any decent study that looks at advantages/disadvantages people receive because of sex and color) than white males.

Its just become this lose lose situation for whites. Damned if you do, damned if you dont. Its gotten to the point where problems cant be solved because conversations cant be had. The left offers no solutions.

White people are in a win win situation and always have been, that win win has compounded over the years. There is a reason white people have better jobs, control money, control more positions of power and are arrested less. You are correct there are little to no solutions when people choose to ignore that racism exists and that people are put in disadvantaged positions. People from all walks of life can succeed that does not mean they have a fair path. I and others are not simply complaining or excusing bad behavior we are acknowledging facts that are happening in life and actively trying to help fix them and treat people no different because of their skin color. You yourself may or may not be racist, I have no idea. But you have taken up the side of people who are racist and are fighting to keep minorities down with claiming racism does not exist on a level that hurts people. I personally believe if you dont see racism happening in your community around you then you are probably ignoring it, blind to it, self involved, dont interact with people much or struggle to see things from other peoples perspective.

Just about an hour ago I checked out at the grocery store and the cashier did not check my id even though my credit card has not signature and says see ID. The gentleman behind me who was dressed about the same as me and was with his wife who was not white paid with a card and they asked to see his id right away. Did this hurt the guy? No, not really. Its not really that big of a deal but it does show this person checking them out judged them negatively because of their skin color and/or made assumptions about them because of their color. I see these things almost daily. That is my anecdotal evidence of it existing and almost every study that is done confirms this happening all the time.

"I’m a Leninist ... Lenin wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment."

Then why even put it in there? Just for filler? I dont get what the point of looking for something that isnt there. That doesnt help anything. Isnt the ultimate goal to get to the truth, and protect and serve what is right? You only cause more problems when you do this.

Be careful of how the media tries to control the narrative. They dont always do things for the right reasons.

When and if Trump blatantly violates the rights of any people in this country, then I and so many others who are on the other side will be right there fighting with you. Its just not going to happen when you go off very vauge notions.

So one quote out of the however many were posted was not overtly offensive, and this is your answer? How is this looking for something that isn't there? Bannon is outright racist and sexist. It's there, no need to even look for it.

Bannon dismisses the alt-right's appeal to racists as happenstance. "Look, are there some people that are white nationalists that are attracted to some of the philosophies of the alt-right? Maybe," he says. "Are there some people that are anti-Semitic that are attracted? Maybe. Right? Maybe some people are attracted to the alt-right that are homophobes, right? But that's just like, there are certain elements of the progressive left and the hard left that attract certain elements."

I dont see anything offensive about this either.

If you could explain why this is offensive, That would be great.

What is a person supposed to do if they are like by bad people? Its like trying to say that because Hitler liked Christ, that makes Christ a piece of ****. Makes zero sense.

He also wrote an edict against birth control and said that, in order to avoid being harassed online, women should “log off.” “Given that men built the internet, along with the rest of modern civilisation [sic], I think it’s only fair that they get to keep it,”

This is offensive, but no so much that Im ready to say the guy is a piece of ****. Its not over the top, and also I dont know what content he said it in.

Ill give you that one though.

In a 2011 radio interview, Bannon said conservative women complicate the progressive narrative. “That’s why there are some unintended consequences of the women’s liberation movement,” he said. “That, in fact, the women that would lead this country would be pro-family, they would have husbands, they would love their children. They wouldn’t be a bunch of dykes that came from the Seven Sisters schools up in New England. That drives the left insane and that’s why they hate these women.”

This is really the only offensive thing here.

Not great, but not a huge deal either. Wanna hear some pretty foul and offensive language. Post some vidoes from the protests.

He’s spoken out against religious minorities. In a 2007 court declaration, Bannon’s ex-wife said Bannon asked her how many Jewish students attended a school where she was considering sending their children. “He said that he doesn’t like the way they raise their kids to be ‘whiny brats’ and that he didn’t want the girls going to school with Jews,” she wrote. A spokesperson for Bannon denied the allegations. And according to Mother Jones, Bannon frequently stacked his radio show — “Breitbart News Daily” — with guest speakers who decried Islam.

Hearsay from someone that didnt like him and could be lying.

During Bannon’s reign over Breitbart, the website ran articles referring to conservative commentator Bill Kristol as a “renegade Jew” and Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum as “a Polish, Jewish, American elitist scorned.” Former Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro accused the site of embracing “a movement shot through with racism and anti-Semitism,” and Bannon’s ex-wife has testified in court that Bannon has “said he doesn’t like Jews” and didn’t want his children to go to school with Jews.

I recommend watching this video and then tell me if you think Trump would hire an antisemitic person, or be one himself.

Well, who knows. Trump might have public opinions going one way, and private opinions going another way.

I'd hazard the estimation that humans with average intelligence, as well as truly compromised outliers on the low end, have some capacity for complexities of judgment that enable us to speak with prudence and keep a few things unsaid.

I think Trump deliberately pushes the edge speaking things that fly in the face of conventional manners, deliberately drawing attention. It's either that or spend millions on ads that carefully create favorable impressions on unthinking minds. Smart business, this trolling of the mainstream media.

So he's elected, and then says it won't be his focus to inflame the public with twitter, or pack up millions of workers to sideline them back home when mostly they are actually productive here. Just the criminal element, you know, the kind of folks we lock up even if they are citizens. If they aren't supposed to be here, why should we use up our jail beds with them? He's gonna have them returned as they come to authorities' attention, and make Mexico pay to jail them, or pay to let them roam the streets, at a local political cost.

Pretty sure he's gonna focus on the economy. Really.

Pretty sure a rising tide will float his boat, too.

After you checked out you stood there watching other people check out?

As a bit of a Leninist myself(dirty DemSoc, so not truly, but Lenin has some good stuff, I like his no ******** style), I have to say I'm offended.

Can't say I enjoy Bannon. Pretty extreme. He knows how to use the media though. Idk what Trump is thinking there. However, extremist appointments are nothing new.

In the event of a “over-population crises,” Holdren supports “laws requiring compulsory abortion,” government confiscation of new born babies, the “development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin,” and, incredibly, “adding a sterilant to drinking water or stable foods….” as long a livestock would not be affected (as experimentally implemented in India). Holdren wants the government to dictate family size and advocate a “planetary regime,” run by the United Nations.

That's Obama's senior advisor on science. Shockingly, no threads made on him 8 years ago.

I'm sure he's thinking, "This guy played a big role in getting me elected and I want him on my team." I have no idea what Bannon brings to Trumps team, but I do know that the vast majority of people never thought a Trump win was possible, yet somehow they pulled it off.

I was listening to CNN yesterday. They were criticizing Trump for doing everything wrong. At one point one of them described the cabinet selection process so far as "buffoonery." I couldn't believe how similar that sounded to the way commentators were talking about him during the Republican Convention. The political insiders view seems to be that he's a complete idiot. This has to make it extra painful when he keeps beating them.

There are some pretty funny compilation videos on the main stream media laughing off Trump's chances of winning. Shows just how dumb and biased they really are. Amazingly people still trust them.
