Trey Lyles' Last 5 Games

I think Lyles is likely to be a good offensive player in this league, but he will be limited by his defense and toughness. He plays much smaller than he is and is really soft inside the paint.

I've seen strides made by Lyles defensively. He still sucks but he definitely seems improved. Gives me hope for the future.

That's why I only dare to compare him to Detlef Schrempf at this stage. Lyles doesn't seem have the same natural warrior mentality that Favors does (when he's healthy). Maybe it's because he's Canadian and Canadians are really nice people.

Steals and blocks aren't everything on D, but Lyles has slightly increased both his block and steal numbers per 36 mins, and reduced his fouls/36 at the same time. Not great numbers or huge changes, but trending in the right direction, indicating improved focus and effort.
