Hayward or Paul George

Assume contracts are the same. No risk of Hayward leaving. You can have either at approximately 30m/per.

Who do you take...Hayward or George

Hayward, duh. I've been saying that every year even when George was the statistically better player. Now Hayward is clearly better statistically, so yeah, Im sticking with our guy.

Thread should be "Hayward IS Paul George"

IMO Paul George is the purest shooter of the 2 but thats the only advantage I can give him. Hayward does more for his team throughout a game.

So, I'll take Hayward, I think he is just getting started also and will continue to raise his averages over the next 4-5 years. Im not sure PG will do the same and think he is what he is.

I agree. Hayward has caught up offensively and I think his overall game is better. Gordon has been playing with swagger. I think he's definitely playing at an all-star caliber level

And I think PG's defense has dropped off a bit. He can probably still turn it on when he needs to, but he isnt as elite as he use to be.

Not to mention the mental aspect. Jazz rattled him tonight. I know he had a nice run to get some stats, but he was largely a non-factor.

I literally had completely forgotten about the the two Conference finals the Pacers made against LeBron's Heat. They had the best record in the regular season and had a game seven at home but lost.

Wow they have fallen fast. I wonder if PG hadn't gotten injured....

But Hayward seems better at this point.

Hayward. I don't see much of George play but it seems Hayward is a more well rounded player. Like someone said earlier, PG seems to have fallen off on D, for whatever reason.

sign george in the offseason? lmao hill/hayward/george/favors/gobert. Opposing teams would average 80 points on us.

George 2 years ago
Hayward today

George progressed faster but hit his plateau
Hayward took a few years but keeps getting better

I never thought George was better. George always had more talent around him till now. I think it was his 3rd-4th year Hayward was asked to be a first option. There was a lot of young but not ready talent with the worst pg play in the NBA. Hayward was put in an impossible situation.

IMO, Hayward has always been better.

PG has is a great player and I think he's going to keep being a great player

2-3yrs ago I was all for PG, but today I saw him get frustrated and he totally shut down. Starting to see Hayward much mentally stronger and he has become a great player.

I will take hayward now everytime.

Wow - we are WAY past due on someone dredging up a 4 year old thread about how The Jazz FO blew it drafting GH over PG
