Farewell to Andrei

If it was a choice between AK @ 5 mil, and CJ @ 3.7 million I think Id rather have Miles. But I wouldnt really care either way, as long as we dont keep both.

I have been one of AK biggest fans since he joined the Jazz. So, not surprisingly, his career has been a huge disappointment to me. No, his failures have not been all his fault, but he has to share part of the blame for not working to improve himself.

In frustration, I had a pet name for him whenever he failed to meet my expectations. I'm sure AK haters on this board might use it whenever they refer to him -- STINKOLINKO.

It's definitely better than Raja Smell, who actually is more deserving of our disapprobation.

I have a new name to reference my dumps now. For that, I thank you, guy.

I want him off.

Not for 5 million or 1 dollar. We don't have anymore room on this roster for weak minded players who miss half the season due to injuries. Sorry folks, but it's time to move on. Draft, trade, sign, anybody or anything to take Andrei's place. Even if it's Jeffers playing 82 games, that's an upgrade over AK47 in my book. At least we can depend on him staying healthy, playing hard, and not making vacation plans before the season ends.

So anything that 'comes at the right price' is a good thing then, right?

I still like Andrei as a role player at 3 mil or less per year. He can still provide a defensive presence on big perimeter scorers. I would far rather have him than Bell.

Take it for what its worth but Locke was saying today that AK told Larry Miller a couple years back to completely re structure his contract, trade him or let him go overseas but for some reason it never fell through. AK wants to stay here and Locke thinks AK will want to repay this Jazz and will probably except a contract lower than 5 mil.

I don't like AK really at all but if you think CJ is a bargain at 4 mil I'm pretty sure AK is a better bargain at 4 mil. I hate how injured he gets but you got to admit when he plays good he is great for the team, only thing is he rarely does that anymore. He can be the back up 3 and give him a 4 mil contract for 2 years with a 3rd year option. I'm sure he'll take it if he wanted to help out the franchise a couple years ago and offered to give up all that money he was supposed to be owed

Man, Jack in the Box burgers circa early 1990s were decent. Not great, but certainly decent. They had buy-one-get-one-free coupons that they published in the Sunday paper. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way them, but at the right price who couldn't load up on those burgers back then?

AK at 3 mil? The guy is an MLE player at least. My guess is the Jazz try the lowball route to see how interested he is in staying. That would still take 5 mil per at a minimum. And my guess is there will be contenders looking to find ways to up the annual for a shorter deal, like 3 @ 21 plus. Injuries notwithstanding, this board is the only place that doesn't understand his worth. NBA GM's all know what a valuable addition he would be.
