What's new

I suppose one silver lining of not having HCA

Having the first two games in La is not the worst thing in the world.

I played tennis and lived by the book winning ugly. One of the principles taught in the book was always to defer your serve unless it was a huge advantage for you. Because you are tight and feeling each other out you have a better chance of breaking serve in that first game and can be warm when you serve. Puts more pressure on the other guy. Same principle here. Game 1 in your home court is not preferable imo... game 7 doe is a huge advantage.

I play tennis too!!

If we lose in 5-6 games then that means we've dropped at least 1-2 games at home... but your argument is oddly about getting HCA?

I could see Clips winning 1 and 2 at home, 4 on the road in Utah, and closing us out in game 5 back in LA. Hate to admit it but I could.

Yeah, what I'm saying is that if we are presuming that we would lose 1 to 2 games at home if we didn't have home-court advantage then home-court advantage would be essentially meaningless because at that rate we would still lose the series.

Home court is overrated and I dont think it is a big issue at this point Playing well going in to the playoffs is not overrated and something that is real concern looking back over the last month. Not many wins in big games.

Maybe, maybe not. I think how we finish plays into our team's mindset and I'm not sure our finish is a positive one or leaves our guys feeling confident, especially compared to the Clips who just won in San Antonio as part of five straight.

That's a good point. The team with HCA has a lot of pressure on them the first two games to keep HCA. I think we should be able to steal a game in LA.

But the best part of G-Time's tennis game is his serve so naturally he wants to serve first and get dat 1-0 edge

HCA is overrated with this team.

Completely disagree. With young teams, with teams that have had a hard time getting into the playoffs, HCA is vitally important. It helps set the tone for a series. Those that have been watching this game a long time, realize that the playoffs are a different beast.

You have any evidence in 4/5 matchups that homecourt is important?
