Something interesting: Only twice in the last 10 years has the team with HCA won the West 4/5 matchup.
Wow. That's HUGE.

Having the first two games in La is not the worst thing in the world.
I played tennis and lived by the book winning ugly. One of the principles taught in the book was always to defer your serve unless it was a huge advantage for you. Because you are tight and feeling each other out you have a better chance of breaking serve in that first game and can be warm when you serve. Puts more pressure on the other guy. Same principle here. Game 1 in your home court is not preferable imo... game 7 doe is a huge advantage.
If we lose in 5-6 games then that means we've dropped at least 1-2 games at home... but your argument is oddly about getting HCA?

I could see Clips winning 1 and 2 at home, 4 on the road in Utah, and closing us out in game 5 back in LA. Hate to admit it but I could.
Yeah, what I'm saying is that if we are presuming that we would lose 1 to 2 games at home if we didn't have home-court advantage then home-court advantage would be essentially meaningless because at that rate we would still lose the series.
Rationalize it all you want, but its disappointing if we don't get home court.

HCA is overrated with this team.
Completely disagree. With young teams, with teams that have had a hard time getting into the playoffs, HCA is vitally important. It helps set the tone for a series. Those that have been watching this game a long time, realize that the playoffs are a different beast.
You have any evidence in 4/5 matchups that homecourt is important?
Oh, the irony...Not being a dick.
Yeah, MTSteve posted something that said the team with HCA only won 2 of the last 10.Do you have evidence saying that in 4/5 matchups homecourt is NOT important?
