Following potential 2017 draftees...

These super lanky players are high risk. Gobert succeeded though tremendous hard work and because he was highly coachable. On paper Edy Tavares should be able to do 90% of what Gobert can. Tavares didn't cut it in the NBA.

That's why these players get drafted in the late first and the second round.

Utah's gonna draft dead-eye shooters methinks. So obviously not Diallo even tho he's a good prospect.

Kennard and Lydon fit the bill. Also T-Ferg.

I think Lydon is on our short list. I see DJ Wilson is coming in early to workout with Utah. A guy who can dribble-penetrate and score at the rim is also a significant need. Enough so, that Quin turned to Shelvin Mack to go get us some buckets.

When someone says draft, i still cant get over the fact that we picked Burks above Leonard, and Lyles over Booker. This nightmare haunting me for the last two years.

You may be right but in the recent BS podcast with Haralabob, Haralabob pointed out that the Gobert, Jokic, Kawhi, and Antetokounmpo picks as having the similarity of all being big for their positions. Haralabob says size is the physical trait with the most upside and the franchises that find these guys late are the ones willing to take a flier on a guy with elite measurables.

I'd hardly call Jokic elite in size, at least not compared to the other 3.

one of the hardest things to determine is desire and work ethic. if you put that with elite measurable you get a rudy, kawhi and GA. the problem there is a much longer list of players with great measureables that arent very good
