Following Former Jazzmen

Former Jazzman, Randy Foye, discovers his lost mother through a series of amazing events.

Foye, who also has a younger brother, lost his father in a motorcycle accident when he was 2. His mother vanished three years later. He remembers being told everything from "she's at work" to "she was just here and you just missed her" to "she's on vacation."...

Foye called one number back and was greeted by Dr. Jason Graham of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York. Graham calmly asked Foye to tell him about his mother. Foye began to wonder if his mother was alive.

Graham, though, told Foye how he had read an article about Foye joining the Nets that included the backstory of his mother's disappearance.

He told Foye about a Jane Doe case in Brooklyn from 1990 that had never been solved and he was trying to piece together the biggest mystery of Foye's life.

Two weeks later, Foye woke up inexplicably at 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 19. He decided to text Nets coach Kenny Atkinson and GM Sean Marks, telling them he wasn't up to coming in for his scheduled offseason workout. Feeling restless that day....

Regina Foye's body had been buried in Kings County in Brooklyn. For the first time in Foye's life, things began to make sense. His mother didn't abandon him and his brother for another family. She died and was resting in the same borough where Foye was now playing for his seventh NBA team.

Randy Foye played just one season for the Jazz in 2013. He played in all 82 games for Ty Corbin's 43-win team that missed the playoffs by 2-games and resulted in the Jazz drafting Trey Burke.
Randy shot 41% from three on 434 attempts. Randy ranks 2nd in Jazz history for most 3pt attempts in a season and hsi %41 is the highest ever for a Jazzman attempting more than 300 3ptrs in a season.

Randy signed a three year deal with the Jazz in the summer of 2012, but was traded to Denver in the summer of 2013 as part of the infamous Iguodala for draft picks and salary dump.

In July of 2016 Foye signed a deal with the Brooklyn Nets leading to connection that lead to his lost mother.

Trey Burke drafted by the jazz in 2013 played in 210 games in his three years with the team.

In 2014 he was named to the 2013-14 First All Rookie team.

Trey averaged 15.5 ppl and 5.5 assists per game for the jazz and had jazz career highs of 32 points and 15 assists.
===================
Now, Burke will enter restricted free agency and likely won’t return. Immediately following the Game 7 loss on Monday night, he reflected on his year with the Wizards and sounded like a man ready for a change. “I’m disappointed. I stopped playing. I felt like I could have helped this team out,” Burke said. “I’m sure a lot of people always say that and I’m sure everybody else believes that too. It’s not just me or my opinion. I’m disappointed in it, but it’s fuel to the fire this offseason. I’m looking forward to getting better and coming back stronger. 8 hours ago – via Washington Post

Former Jazzmen Andre Owens and Deshawn Stevenson will participate in the new Big3 basketball league.

The BIG3 is the American 3-on-3 professional basketball league. Combining superstar players and fan interaction before and after the games make this an exciting live experience. The entire league is operated and managed by the players. No outsiders. No politics. Just highly competitive basketball played as it’s meant to be.

Andre Owens played one season with the jazz in 2005-2006, appearing in 26 games. In July 2006 he was traded with Devin brown and Keith Mcloud to Golden State for a player to be named later.

Deshawn Stevenson was drafted by the jazz out of high school in 2000. As a high school senior he averaged 30.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists a game. He committed to Kansas, but entered the draft. In 2001 he finished second in the slam dunk contest. Deshawn played 3.5 seasons for the jazz before being traded to the Orlando magic for Gordon Giriceck.

Deshawn would be traded twice more in his 13 season career, both trades involved players who eventually played for the Jazz...Josh Howard and Joe Johnson.

Williams and Boozer were supposed to be tne next Sotckton & Malone. And although things didn't quite end that way for Jazzfanz, when Carlos got his Raise and Deron shopped himself out of town, still Deron & Carlos remain connected.

In 2012 Carlos was widely mocked for his plastic hair look.

This week it appears that Deron has tried the same barber...

Turkey issues Arrest Warrant for Enes Kanter.

Turkey has issued a warrant for the arrest of Thunder center Enes Kanter, according to a report from a Turkish pro-government publication.

According to a story from international news agency AFP, the Daily Sabah in Turkey reported that Kanter is sought for being a member of a “terror group.” A prosecutor in Istanbul opened an investigation into Kanter’s “alleged membership of an armed terrorist organization,” according to the AFP report.

On his Twitter account, Kanter responded to the report of the arrest warrant with a tweet in Turkish. The AFP translated it as saying “You cannot catch me. Hahaha. Don't waste your energy. I am already going to come to (Turkey) to spit on all of your ugly, hate-filled faces.”

He's putting his family in Turkey in an unfortunate position.

Stockton had so many crappy backups after we lost Eisley that I (and I think a lot of people) really salivated at the idea of a true distributor coming off he bench and for a number of years before landing him I wanted Jackson. What a douche he was.

In hindsight I think Crotty during his second stint was Stockton's best backup. He was leading our bench to some great runs before he blew out his ACL.

The correct answer here is Howard Eisley, and this one isn't close. Him leaving the team was a disaster.

We got Marshall for him. In any case, Eisley had longer tenure but that last John Crotty year he really was playing very well and running a great offense.
