Cavs vs Warriors Game 2

This is on Lebron a little. Why did he stop going at the rim after halftime?? He has a history of doing things like this... For someone with such high bball IQ it doesn't make much sense.
Lebron was awesome though.
Warriors are too good

Like I said, he created the roster... Kyrie is letting him down though.

Right now their biggest concern is stopping KD, so as the "best player in the world" and his opposing SF he NEEDS to take on that responsibility.
He didn't create the roster though.

Kyrie was drafted while lebron was in Miami iirc. Maybe Tristan Thompson too.

Lebron signs with Boston.

Boston unloads Fultz and the 2018 pick for Davis.
Is bostons supporting cast (crowder, thomas, bradley, horford) much better than the cavs? (Kyrie, jr, love, thompson, shumpert, ect)

How did it ruin the season? This was likely to be the outcome even without Durant.

I disagree.
I don't think they would have swept everyone and probably wouldn't have blown out the cavs.
Durant has been pretty good for the warriors I think. (Haven't looked up his numbers but he seems like he has done pretty well. )

Warrior didn't sweep everyone last year and win the title iirc.

I think they are better suited to beat the Warriors (if they could add Lebron, Lebron isnt a FA as I thought tho).

Honestly, I don't even care now if Hawyard signs with the Jazz or not. It's irrelevant. Nobody is winning anything until the Warriors are broken up, and that's more than just Thompson leaving.

I think you're right. We still might get a good Finals. But either way, while I enjoyed witnessing such a historically elite team, surely nobody wants to see THIS for the next five years.

As weird as this may sound Im gonna put it out there anyway.

Before the Warriors won their 1st title there was a general consensus that 'jump shooting teams cannot win Championships'. Now this may sound strange but I still don't believe GS have proven otherwise.

Title year: GS get through the West without having to face an opponents starting PG, then play and eventually beat the Cavs without Kyrie and K.Love. (no proof imo)

Last year: The Warriors lose a 3-1 lead in the Finals. This was always the major concern with 'jump shooting sides' is that they go 'cold'. (mark against GS)

This year: They add KD and the playing field becomes skewed to the extent that its difficult to assess. The level of talent enables them to win however they play. (no proof imo)

Basically, I'm still not convinced that the GS model is the Championship model. I prefer our make up (with a healthy Favors), Talented Wings with Bigs who can dominate down low. This to me has been the blueprint for success in the NBA.

Lol @ those who think lebron might leave to Boston. They don't have a better surrounding cast. I think Cleveland will pull off a trade or two and work to retool.

I think the jazz should go for broke. They have nearly all the components of a championship team. Go for broke and see what happens. Compete and beat them. Besides, It's not like KD or Curry don't have extensive injury histories. KD goes down they're very beatable if the jazz are healthy and have added another player. Replace Lyles and Burks with contributors, Exum progresses, and the jazz are healthy? Anything can happen.

Just going over the list of free agents this summer, I could see a few players like dwade or Nene taking less money to join the cavs and help defeat the warriors for a ring. All I'm saying is that as long as lebron is the best player in the league, players will come and join him in hopes of winning a ring.

This is an extremely dumb post. You act like this team is going to be around forever or that injuries don't exist.

I wonder what you all thought when Shaq and Kobe were on the Lakers and went 15-1 one year to win the title. They almost won four in a row. Probably a lot of the same stuff being said now. Shaq ruined the league by going to the Lakers like Durant ruined the league by going to the Warriors.

You can't be mad at Golden State for being extremely good drafters and taking a chance on Curry when he had injury problems. Durant wanted a ring and was tired of playing with Westbrook.

Both are dumb posts because you both are acting like Hayward matters. He barely made an Allstar team. He wasnt even third team all nba. With younger players ahead of him. How could he possibly jump them. Look Gobert is the only one to build around. Now it is time to see who of our young players can also make a jump.

Relaying on injuries to derail a team isn't, well, reliable.

Forever? No, and I didn't say that either. I said until they were broken up, which looks like another 4-5 years at least. When the Lakers were dominant I thought there were teams that had a chance of knocking them down, and other than the 2001 season they did. Both the Kings and Blazers had legitimate chances of knocking them out. The 2001 Lakers didn't look invincible. This Warriors team does.

I'm not mad at the Warriors. Anyone would have signed Durant. I'm furious at him. He ruined the competitive balance of the NBA for a long time.

Paul wants a title. He can get one if he joins the Cavs for a cheap contract. Just imagine if Paul signed and they traded Kyrie for Melo and pieces or Paul George and pieces.

I stopped reading when I read Melo.
