What's new

2017 Draft Thread

Doing what we would do regardless of what we think Hayward is doing. It's what we kind of have to do. We can still make a trade after the draft.

I think that Houston would want the okc pick instead of one this year anyway.

I agree, except I don't think they would have traded Hood or Favors to move up. I was thrilled that Lyles got us 11 spots up, and I would have laughed ahead of time if someone proposed that. Nice work by DL.

Wonder how much Shams Charnania had to pay Yahoo to have him on their team. He's struggling right now on their live cast.

We won't win 51 games next year. We just made the playoffs and we have already peaked.

Hayward leaves to Boston. Hill leaves to Minn. We get Donovan Mitchell.
Chill

Jazz will keep 55 will be a decent guy who is a combo forward or 3 and D type. Just my guess.

i'm just kinda amped that we traded up on two players. We wouldn't have done so if we weren't massive fans.

Also, I think today confirms that we ought to never draft a player with the name Trey again. Lol.

I think Bradley is a completely vanilla pick but he might be a guy who can play the backup minutes and he's cheap.
As far as cheap, wouldn't any and every #28 pick be cheap? In fact wouldn't they be the exact same salary? (I have no idea but that is what I understood. )

Are we worried about how close "Tony" is to being "Trey"?

I guess I'll be the loner and say I like the Bradley selection. Seems like a high-character dude with good growth potential.

Plus, I figure trading two picks for one further cuts down on salary, and players we have on the roster.

We only have 8 players under contract right now though, crazily enough. Boris is a team option, Ingles, Hill, and Hayward are free agents of course.

With Bradley and Mitchell that leaves you with 10 plus our free agents.

well dudes were fooled congrats kuzma his agent is thou declared agent of the year, dm

The awesome thing about Mitchell is that it cost so little. I was ready to give up Hood for him lol, but we ended up just trading Lyles. Even if he bust or is just OK, it's not like we sold anything good for him.

Millsap nothing

Kanter nothing
#5 Exum
#12 & #24 Mitchell...

#14 Hill nothing
