Mitchell needs to start

Absolutely no one with any intelligence said Michael Carter-Williams was the next big thing.

Only time I can think where that might have ever been said was after his first game since they beat LeBron. Then it quickly died away. He was only RotY because of how bad that rookie class played.

he avereaged near 17ppg in his rookie season. 6reb 6assists and 1.9 steals as well.

trust me. People thought he was gona be a star.

He was on a terrible team though. Teams going to get to 90 pts a night regardless of personnel.

DM has no fatal flaws. Right now the percentages are bad but wait until game 20 or so. He's a good shooter... can create and is a good defender. This is all as a rookie. Mcw was never regarded this highly imo, but he was viewed as a much better prospect than he actually was.

I sure hope so!

If Mitch can maintain what he did the past 3 games then i'm happy.

This will open the floor up for everybody else as well.

After watching DM I've gotten more bummed out about Exum's injury. The idea of Exum and the idea of DM seems to fit well... especially if you had an Ingles (or rubio) to move the ball and help run an actual offense.

Yep. I can't believe how many fans have dismissed Exum as if he were a scrub, but overlook all the warts on Mitchell to crown him a superstar already. Both these players are on similar levels right now, with each one having different strengths.

Statistically Udoh has been our best player this season. He has our highest offensive rating of 111.3. He also has our second highest defensive rating at 90.2. That puts his net rating at 21.1. The next highest net rating is Mitchel at 12.5. Our bottom 3 from bottom up is Neto, Gobert and Rubio. But 2 of those have to do with our starters being outplayed this season, especially early. Our deep bench has outplayed the competition so their stats look better.

Last year Neto ended the season with our best Net rating at 13.9. Partially because he had our best defensive rating. The next on our top net rating were Hill, Gobert and then Hayward. Our second best was Gobert at 100.6. Hill, Neto and Hayward were our top 3 offensive rating players.

Honestly if Udoh keeps playing like this he needs to cut into time from Gobert.

People are jumping the gun big time with this Udoh outplaying Gobert narrative. Rudy has had to adjust his game in a way that players never know if he's going to go for a block or not. He's also had to adjust to the way the refs are calling fouls more than any other player. Udoh can go just after everything, but he doesn't and never will affect complete defenses in the way Rudy does.

Having said that, I'd have no problem giving him more minutes on nights when he's out there ****ing people up. Getting Rudy more rest would be a good thing, but let's not get carried away with this Udoh > Gobert stuff.

Not really what I said... just think they could play well together.

I have not heard anyone saying Udoh is better than Gobert.

Gobert does need to get back to playing hard and doing the little things he is not. Snyder called him out last game for not blocking out on rebounds. His defense is fine right now and he is getting better on offense.

Mostly he needs to get better at passing on offense since he is getting three players crashing on him in pick and roll situations. Our team also needs to hit those threes when he makes the right pass.

Rudy was great last game. He's looked back to normal. He'd be scoring 20 a game if we had more players on the perimeter that scared teams. He's getting so much attention in his rolls.
