At this point, there is no 2 man combination of players drafted post-Kuzma and post 42nd overall (the pick the Jazz gave up to move up) that I would say I'm mad that the Jazz passed on to take Bradley.

Right now would you rather have Semi/Bell and Brooks?

I don't think it's a major mistake, but I think it is really puzzling... clearly he was not playing this year... if we keep Epke he would play maybe spot minutes in year 2. Then he is a backup in year 3... cool bigs like him come really cheap... and ready to contribute.

Maybe he hits threes and becomes an offensive force on the glass... he's got good hands... just think I'd swing bigger with that pick or try to find a guy that can contribute on his rookie deal on the cheap. Or a guy that gives a different look... like Bell.

So okay I won't say dumb... just really puzzling and one I would not have made.

Also supposedly we jumped SA to get him... If SA takes him then White is available... I'd rather have White/Semi/Bell... admittedly I wasn't a Brooks fan, but hadn't watched him much.

A.) I actually like Tony Bradley. Udoh wasn’t on the roster when the pick was made, and he does have considerable upside.

B.) I’m way more irritated about the Jazz trading away two picks to dump one guaranteed year of Tibor Pleis. That pick ended up being #36 - Jonah Bolden, Semi Ojeleye and Jordan Bell we’re all still on the board at that time. Any of them would’ve been a good get for the Jazz.

C.) If the Jazz wanted Bell, there wasn’t anything stopping them from buying the Bull’s pick like the Warriors did.

D.) If Bradley becomes a solid rotational player behind Gobert, then it was a great puck. Can’t count on much from a #28 pick in the draft. Any contribution from him makes it a value pick. Too early to judge.

None of these players have proven anything to make me disappointed we didnt draft them over Bradley. It's way too early to call it dumb.

The Tibor dump and then no one took our space so we took the Diaw dump from SA... that was the puzzling move that offseason. I may be off on the timing there.

I like Tony Bradley fine... I think he can be a backup center... I just think you could get a number of dudes who are good backup centers for the minimum or close to it... no development required. I'd rather use a roster spot on a guy that could blow up or be a contributor at a more scarce position.

If Tony develops what is his ceiling? Give me a decent comp?

Anyone can call it dumb after players have proven things... Dumb was strong... call it puzzling if it makes you feel better. There are a lot of different routes I'd have preferred.

I think he's a smart player I just can't tell you a player playing today that he is similar to. I think Bryant (#42) has more promise as a shooter. If he develops is he like a Nurkic? A poor mans JV?

I dunno, man. We haven't seen enough to rule out whether Bradley and Rudy can share the floor. I mean, I'm not talking about a starting duo here, but maybe something along the lines of 10-shared minutes a night. If that's possible, then the pick makes instant sense.

Low end upside I think is Nikola Vucevic. An offensive guy who can really score in bunches. His size, skill and career arc remind me of Vucevic while at USC. . . although I also think that Bradley’s upside is significantly higher than that. He was a solid contributor on a National Champion team as a freshman. He can shoot, rebound, run the floor and defend. He’s not the athlete or defender that Rudy is, but Rudy isn’t the offensive player that Bradley has the potential to become. I kind of agree with Cy. If he maxes out his potential, his ceiling is as a LaMarcus Aldridge type of player. Longshot, but I think that’s why you make that pick. His upside at that point was way higher than most of the guys left on the board.

He's not nearly as skilled as Vucevic or Aldridge... his shot is not good... he scored in college off of putbacks and drop off passes. He could develop those skills, but I don't ever see the face up game that aldridge had early in his career. He could take guys off the dribble and was more athletic. I see Tony as more plodding than that.

If he changes his body and develops one of the most reliable mid range jumpers in the game then I guess he could be one of those guys. Analytics loved the guy because he's young and efficient (in limited minutes).

If his jumper is never better than Favs then what is he?
