I've been on this site since the first year it started. I like to come to get the news and hear people's opinions. I'm not here to attack people or be rude. However, because of the mean spirit of some who post here now and in the past, I have lost it on occasion, and have again, making me think, I'm sick of dealing with this and may stop posting.
The first time was with the One Brow thing. Recently, I tried to explain to Numberica what happened. Was I wrong in seeking him out? I plead guilty. What drove me to it was the constant attacks I had been receiving from people for taking the side of AK in the issues about him being frozen out by Deron. One Brow had at least two Alts -- Aint and JF2883 or some such number after the JF. The Alts were not only attacking me on the site but sending me vicious and obscene PMs. I asked Colton to see if he could verify if these Alts were actually One Brow. There were a lot of coincidences involving these Alts and One Brow, especially Aint. And when I finally identified One Brow, I simply called him at work -- he was a community college teacher -- and asked him to stop these attacks. Of course, he denied everything, but and this is important, the attacks and vicious PMs stopped immediately. I went public about this and then I got criticized and ridiculed, so I changed my Username.
Recently, I made a comment about how impressed I was with Mitchell during Summer League. Not everyone felt this way -- St. Cy is still saying because he doesn't get explosion off one foot, he won't get to the foul line. Well, Cy, it didn't seem to hurt Stockton or Nash, neither of whom had nowhere near the hops of Mitchell. In any case, that old douche bag, Archie, who seems to have more bad things than good things to say about Mitchell, has really gotten under my skin. I think he has negged me 7 times in the last week or so. How can someone neg a person so many times? I've actually kind of lost it and have started to ridicule him and call him names. It's not a good thing. It's not the way a board should be. It's supposed to be a congenial place to talk about the Jazz, not to get personal, which in most cases this reputation thing has become.
I think in the best interests of the board that you do away with Reputation for this very reason, so that mean-spirited people like Archie can't spew their ignorance on others.
I probably am taking this too seriously. It is, after all, just a message board.
