What's new

So can we officially say we got the best player in a good draft?

There are a few other decent rookies (Tatum was out of our reach though)..but DM was a perfect fit and just what we needed, when we needed it. We clearly got a great deal out of that trade and was pretty much a perfect fit for us.

I like Tatum...a lot. But the Jazz got an energy bunny. They needed that type of player after losing Hayseed to put electricity back in the franchise. Wherever you put him, it's safe to say he was the steal of the draft. I think Lindsey may have lost a trading partner, though.

Id there was a redraft tonight I’d take DM before Tatum and Fultz... ball is way over rated imo.

Tatum has looked great but he doesn’t have the responsibility DM does and I think DMs ceiling is higher.

DSJr had a ton of hype too but he’s not showing as much as DM.

I don't know, Tatum is really good, if Mitchell was on Boston and Tatum was with Utah, roles would be reversed. Tatum is forced to take a back seat while DM has the keys to the car so to speak. Also Tatum is shooting 48% from three, though he's only shot 70 threes, but that's still very impressive.

Not saying Tatum is better, just that it's too soon to say who the better rookie between the two rooks, maybe the rising stars game will make things clearer.

I can’t honestly say I know a lot about the other guys on the court or off the court, but what I can say about Donovan is that he has a mentality that’s in the >99.5%ile, and I don’t exaggerate when I say that. Intangibles are really big for me, and if I were a betting man I’d say the likelihood of any other rookie possessing those anywhere close to Mitchell’s ballpark would be fairly unlikely, so I roll with him.

Great pairing with Gobert. Thanks, Denver.

I love DM's talent but his demeanor/attitude is what sets him apart. The kid has no fear and is not afraid to take charge in the game. Man, i would have given anything to see his performance live last night. Jazz definitely got the steal of draft.
