Is Favors in the long-term plans at this point?

Yeah I probably wouldn't either. I think the idea would be that Parker may receive an offer that they are unwilling to pay as the only reason but it would probably be better just to hold out and see.

I wouldn't do that deal with just Wilson and a 2nd as the Jazz because Teletovic is owed $10.5 next year. He would be in the Parker/Favors deal so the Bucks can offer that money to Faves.

I like what Burks has been doing, but my only knock is he still has blinders on when he plays, he needs to see his teammates and make more unselfish plays. Because of that, I think Burks playing with Rubio actually makes sense, as I'd probably rather have Burks making a one on one play for a shot vs passing to an open Rubio. Then again, Hood tends to not to see the open man well either (better than Burks). I'd rather have Hood and Mitchell play together. Either way, having the ball in Mitchell's hands more is a good thing.

Rubio has sound shooting mechanics, and is a good ft shooter. I think he needs a bit more lift on his flat shot, but it should be correctable. It is frustrating that he is not a better shooter from the field, especially with wide open looks.

The Jazz have to receive a 1st rounder or a promising player at a minimum to part with Favors at this point. So the Jazz might as well try to make it work for everybody here and try to re-sign him or keep his Bird rights in the event a sign-and-trade scenario materializes (which considering the cap landscape, might be the most-likely scenario, but I'd have to do a deeper dig on roster needs around the league first).

But yeah, I actually think if Favors continues to ball out, the Bucks would be wise to consider trading Parker (and Teletovic/whatever is their most-problematic longtern salary) for him. They'd improve significantly today, round out their roster, and uncomplicated their future. Then again, Favors is expiring, so that again creates complication.

Favors to Cleveland for Frye, Osman and their 2018 1st makes a ton of sense.

Favors fits pretty well at C on that roster. Thompson slides to the bench, Love to PF. Cleveland could re-sign Favors if he fits well. If not, or LBJ leaves, they can let him go. An unproven Euro and a pick in the late 20's is worth it to make the best possible push to keep LeBron

Yeah... Frye is actually an asset. I think if Thompson went down they'd be really interested in Favs, but Thompson will be back. I think Favs is much better than Thompson, but they are similar enough that they wouldn't send a lot back to us for Favs.

I think they may be more likely to trade Brogdon (spelling?) than Parker from what national media people say. Malcolm has been marginalized since they got Bledsoe.

It would depend on how the Jazz view Wilson... some seemed to think we'd pick him at #23. I would consider it. Maybe they'd move Maker too... I'm not really that impressed with him but maybe a third team would be.

I just think punting the first five/six minutes of every half is a ****** thing to have to do to keep everyone happy.

Another team that would have interest if NO decides to keep Boogie is Washington. Could see a first and Gortat for Favs... maybe they'd move Kieff (though I'm not interested in him). Favs would fit the core better from an age perspective, though I'm not sure he's a huge upgrade over Gortat.

They have cap issues this year and next.

I know we don't have a good sample size right now, but I like a lot of the drive-n-kick decisions that Burks has made in the past few games (basically since we got home from the last road-trip). They look like the kind of decisions from someone who is starting to get it.

The pressure that Mitchell and Burks can put on the rim has been instrumental to getting open looks all over the floor.

I agree that there is basically no scenario where Gobert and Favors are an ideal offensive pairing, but if the spacing issues can be resolved outside of them, they may again achieve net positivity on the floor together. In other words, Rubio needs to come off the bench, and I'm not concerned with his feelings, especially since he hasn't produced at a level here or proven he's a decent shooter anywhere to merit a legitimate gripe with his benching.

I actually think they would value Brogdon a lot. Not saying they don't value Jabari but he's on such a favorable deal next year too.

It's obvious the Bucks have a tough call. To me, if you have a player like Giannis playing at the level he is playing, that's when you have to strike and build around him. Sounds like they are trying with these Deandre Jordan rumors. If that doesn't happen though, I'm sure Favors would be a target. This is all hypothetical. Favors could slow down/get hurt, the Bucks could underperform and not pursue anything for this season. In 2 months we will have a better idea.
