Wish the Washington Post didn't have a paywall after 10 articles, because this is an indepth report, including a 12 minute video, "How Trump fought the intelligence on Russia, and left an election threat unchecked". I hope those interested are able to access the page:

In the final days before Donald Trump was sworn in as president, members of his inner circle pleaded with him to acknowledge publicly what U.S. intelligence agencies had already concluded — that Russia’s interference in the 2016 election was real.

Holding impromptu interventions in Trump’s 26th-floor corner office at Trump Tower, advisers — including Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and designated chief of staff, Reince Priebus — prodded the president-elect to accept the findings that the nation’s spy chiefs had personally presented to him on Jan. 6.

They sought to convince Trump that he could affirm the validity of the intelligence without diminishing his electoral win, according to three officials involved in the sessions. More important, they said that doing so was the only way to put the matter behind him politically and free him to pursue his goal of closer ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“This was part of the normalization process,” one participant said. “There was a big effort to get him to be a standard president.”

But as aides persisted, Trump became agitated. He railed that the intelligence couldn’t be trusted and scoffed at the suggestion that his candidacy had been propelled by forces other than his own strategy, message and charisma......

......Nearly a year into his presidency, Trump continues to reject the evidence that Russia waged an assault on a pillar of American democracy and supported his run for the White House.

The result is without obvious parallel in U.S. history, a situation in which the personal insecurities of the president — and his refusal to accept what even many in his administration regard as objective reality — have impaired the government’s response to a national security threat. The repercussions radiate across the government.

Rather than search for ways to deter Kremlin attacks or safeguard U.S. elections, Trump has waged his own campaign to discredit the case that Russia poses any threat and he has resisted or attempted to roll back efforts to hold Moscow to account.....

......“Putin has to believe this was the most successful intelligence operation in the history of Russian or Soviet intelligence,” said Andrew Weiss, a former adviser on Russia in the George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations who is now at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. “It has driven the American political system into a crisis that will last years.”

This was Yuggggeee.

Rosenstein just killed trump and Hannity. The right’s narrative that Mueller is Hillary Clinton wearing a mask was just blown up.

Kinda funny how the right only respects law enforcement when they can use them as tools to attack minorities.

It's thin as ****. Rosenstein is a Republican, just like Mueller.

Don't believe for a second that the effort to derail Mueller is over. Everything is pointing to the Republicans making impeachment a non starter in the House.

Need to win the House in 2018....

One hell of a battle developing over Robert Mueller....

What Republicans are really saying about the Mueller probe:

http://www.sltrib.com/opinion/comme...ns-are-really-saying-about-the-mueller-probe/

"In the end, what matters is what Robert Mueller’s investigation produces. So far, there hasn’t been a shred of evidence that it has been anything but professional. Perhaps the indictments and plea bargains he has obtained so far will be the end of the story, and he’ll conclude that there was no further wrongdoing, particularly on the president’s part. But the possibility that he’ll find a great deal more - and present it with unimpeachable evidence - is precisely what has Republicans in such a panic."

Scrubbing information on "climate change" from the EPA's website was part of a concerted war against reality by Donald Trump. That war on reality continues and has been extended to the Center for Disease Control:

http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/CDC-forbidden-words-fetus-transgender-diversity-12434800.php

Trump administration officials are forbidding officials at the nation's top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases - including "fetus" and "transgender" - in any official documents being prepared for next year's budget.

Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are: "vulnerable," "entitlement," "diversity," "transgender," "fetus," "evidence-based" and "science-based.".........

.........The longtime CDC analyst, whose job includes writing descriptions of the CDC's work for the administration's annual spending blueprint, could not recall a previous time when words were banned from budget documents because they were considered controversial.

The reaction of people in the meeting was "incredulous," the analyst said. "It was very much, 'Are you serious? Are you kidding?' "

"In my experience, we've never had any pushback from an ideological standpoint," the analyst said.

News of the ban on certain words hasn't yet spread to the broader group of scientists at the CDC, but it's likely to provoke a backlash, the analyst said. "Our subject matter experts will not lay down quietly - this hasn't trickled down to them yet."

If Trump fires Mueller and there isn't an impeachment I would be willing to take up arms.

“CDC has a long-standing history of making public health and budget decisions that are based on the best available science and data and for the benefit of all people—and we will continue to do so,” she said.

A group of the agency’s policy analysts said senior officials at the CDC informed them about the banned words on Thursday, according to the Post’s report. In some cases, the analysts were reportedly given replacement phrases to use instead.

But in follow-up reporting, The New York Times cited “a few” CDC officials who suggested the move was not meant as an outright ban, but rather, a technique to help secure Republican approval of the 2019 budget by eliminating certain words and phrases.

What's the legality here exactly?

As far as Mueller is concerned, I think people need to figure out that a special counsel doesn't have to have positive feelings about the subject of their investigation. Neutrality is not an absolute requirement.

What is required is pursuing the facts according to the law and acting within the professional and ethical guidelines of his role.

Mueller cannot arrest Trump. Mueller cannot charge Trump with crimes. Mueller can only collect information and then submit a report based on that information to Congress. Then Congress considers the report, and takes into consideration the possibility of bias on the part of the special counsel, and anything else they want to consider in relation to the investigation and the final report. That's how our system works. That's an important part of our Constitutional government.

The President MUST let the investigation continue. At the end of the day the facts will be evaluated either in court for the other people charged with crimes, or in Congress, based on the report the special counsel submits in regard to Trump.

I don't think I see a traditional war. I could see the start of violent clashes between left and right leaning individuals that escalates until the National Guard is called in to squash it. But not "war".

Unless there were a true rift in the military there will never be a successful uprising of the citizenry of the US. Just simply cannot happen. The US military is too strong. It would be squashed so fast. As stoked pointed out, the national guard would be plenty to quell anything even remotely resembling a war.

Not very many of Trump's enemies or critics even have guns. Those who do probably don't hunt or carry them.... oh maybe a lockbox with an antique inside, without serious ammo. Mr. B might raise a force of ten or twenty, half JFC members.

I haven't seen Mr. B shoot, and probably never will.

So far the issues raised by Mueller don't rise to anything Trump has done, and even the dems in congress privy to the information say "no proof of collusion." Nothing criminal, nothing indictable, just suspicions and unfounded accusations, despite the worst things his enemies/accusers have imagined.

Mueller, however, has a long history with many facts that demand investigation. Comey is now proven to have deliberately covered Hillary's offenses including actual crimes.

The fact is that it is now proven that Obama and Hillary have weaponized federal agencies and used federally salaried personnel to threaten political opposition and shush their critics. These people are criminals and need to be charged/indicted, and put on trial for their crimes.

This is the fundamental reality of our times. The wheels have fallen off the "progressive" wagon, and the myopic delusions of globalist utopians are proving to be nothing more than self-interested power-seeking corrupt political movements.

So here is a statement from a group of self-professed democrats of the old school.... FDR emulating democrats.... you know..... before dems became the political assets of megabillionaires like Soros, Gates, and the Rockefellers, and various London bankers.....

to the effect that the Trump-dumpsters are real garbage.

what we need is a strong set of nation-states that can adequately represent their peoples' interests on the world stage, and resist the manipulations of cartelists whose interests are vested in making wars between the world's people.

You make too many unfounded assertions of fact to even start.

You want to actually back up any of these assertions?
