What's new

Nikola Mirotic

Milwaukee is at least feigning interest in Bogut to drive down the price on Jordan or maybe Favors.

Bogut is done.

So are we getting Mirotic or have I read most of this crap for nothing?

The Jazz and Bulls are talking and a deal is possible. But we don't have any real details yet. So, we don't really know.

It's truly the only way to live.

Indeed a clean pair of shorts and a cigarette with your morning coffee, actually come to think of it sometimes that fresh pair of shorts really comes in handy after that.

with that i take my leave, wanna read more of the excellent Heretic by Ayaan Hirsi Ali before i sleep.

Dan Clayton posted a good article with lots of info on Twitter 10 hours ago (can't link from here). Talks about the Jazz and trade scenarios and rumors. Worth reading if you're into this stuff.

Some highlights:

- Jazz appear to be shopping Joe Johnson, possibly as a favor to him to put him on a contender.
- Jazz and Bulls are talking, confirmed by Spencer Checketts
- Rumors of the Jazz having interest in a player with 3-4 years left on their contract in the high teens salary wise per year. Lists players in that category and says Crabbe and Fournier are interesting.
- Teams are calling about Burks but his value is hard to determine
- Favors, JJ and Burks are the most likely to be traded
- Keep an eye on DeAndre Jordan rumors to determine Favors market (Cleveland, Washington and Milwaukee mentioned by name)
- Discusses Mirotic's value. Less than a 1st more than a 2nd.
- Mirotic contract details
- Mentions that Gobert, Mitchell and maybe Ingles as really the only players off the table
Well that's all a bunch of stuff that sounds totally on-point.

I'm not sure where to tuck this point in, so I'll do it here: the trade market mid-season (like the free agent market in the offseason), is usually contingent on other moves. Usually the big domino has to fall in order for everything else to. So, Favors might not be moved until either DeAndre Jordan is, or until the trade deadline (in the event the Jordon situation lasts that long or isn't traded at all).
