I agree. And I don't see Favors putting winning ahead of family/money. He's a good guy but he doesn't have that fire burning inside a la Rudy and Don.

He's probably gone. It's too bad because he's finally gelling perfectly with the core. He does have a place on this team, and next to Gobert.
I'm sure he's still a little torn (like Hayward), but Atlanta probably offers him more money. I'd bet it's 80% he's gone.

I would think outside the box and sign Anthony Randolph back from Europe if Kokoskov endorses it. I was impressed with his defensive abilities in eurobasket last summer. Very mobile and long defender and has some range on his jumper. And he should come pretty cheap and won't hurt future cap. If guys like Udoh and Royce can play in NBA so can A. Randolph.

When Favors signs his contract with another team(or our team) does he show up as fit as he is this year? Does he give as much effort? We'll see. Call me a hater, but based on his last seven years I'm going on the record that he doesn't. He's going to tap into some of that deep-fried Southern cooking and settle himself down with his family. I honestly hope I'm wrong because he is playing really well and is in the best shape of his career. I'll eat crow gladly if he proves me wrong.

We don't need to depend on any one individual player's loyalty anymore. This is proven by our survival after Hayward departure, with our draft choice and our recent free agent signings. We are becoming a known and respected franchise with something of value to offer players, and we draft well. If Favors leaves, he will be replaced, we might even already have his replacement on the roster. If he stays, than great, he's a great talent. I'm not saying it wouldn't hurt, but wouldn't break us.

I think if we lose Rudy and Donovan isn't a top 10 player by then we will be in big trouble. Without Rudy we are probably a bottom 5-7 team. Obviously you could replace him with another star player and change how the team plays, but man Losing Rudy would be a disaster much bigger than Hayward.

I wouldn't say that he'll be lazy, but it's fair to question whether or not he'll be healthy and also whether or not he'll be worth a larger deal.

Favors has said time and time again this year that he knows because he can't hit the three, he is a 5.

He is a C. He is a very, very, very good C. But, he is a C. Which isn't good for Utah or him in Utah.
