What's new

Jazz square off against them Indiana boys on an Indiana night -- Jazz @ Pacers 3/7/2018 5:00 pm MST

LeBron has over eight thousand career assists. If there's one criticism I've heard of him through the years it's that he's too unselfish.
Yeah, I think my statement reads a bit different than the intent. I've always been a huge Lebron fan. Seems to me he's dominating the ball even more than ever, and passing less unless he gets into trouble. Maybe you would like a system where one guy does 50% of the dribbling, gets 50% of the assists, and others may go ten possessions without even touching it. There's just no flow to the offense, and a huge part of the problem is coach Lebron. As is, Cleveland isn't much of a threat to come out of the east, let alone beat Utah in the Finals (maybe Golden State).

Watched a few minutes of the Cleland game tonight. Hood got blown by 2 times in the 4th quarter. I thought he was trying to throw the game with those and shooting like ****. I was happy I no longer have to watch that.
Hood was pretty bad in the time I was watching the game. He had one nice drive for a floater. . . but I felt like it was a Hood/Lyles battle for which ex-Jazzman was going to lose the game for his team.

So glad LeBron > Joker. That was a critical loss for Denver. . . especially if Jamal Murray is out for a concussion. That won’t help them either.

IIRC Quin sent subs with a little under 3 minutes left but the Jazz eventually had to foul to get a dead ball so the subs could get in.

I watched the Indiana feed. They showed The Jazz bench with about 2 and change left in the game - Georges had such a hopeful look on his face that he was going to get into the game. Wasn't meant to be, lol...

His USG% is below his career average and his assist #'s are way above career average. He leads the league in VORP. When you build an offense, you build around 27 and 9 with a .622 TS% and not around some armchair coach's idea of how it should be better. Yes, it's stagnant. Because Bron.

That was crazy. I think it was closer to 2 minutes left, maybe even less when they finally got taken out. They were dragging BIG time. Probably not a good call at the beginning of a road trip. Why didn't one of the assistant coaches remind Quin? Or maybe Rubio should have called a TO to jolt Quin out of his stupor.

Gobert played 38 minutes and Mitchell 36. Those are the main ones who should have gotten a bit more rest. Looks like Favors only played 25. It's possible they're limiting Favors a bit because of the neck spasms he had recently but if that's the case then, yeah, they probably should have played Udoh a bit. It's always hard to know when to start substituting, I'd imagine. Indiana isn't bad and you could certainly lose a 20 point lead in 5 minutes. I think Indiana started to sub at about 3:30ish left in the game. Quin could have started to sub at that point, probably, but it wouldn't have been a huge difference from how it went.

****ing thank you. As though 7 straight trips to the finals wasn't enough evidence that he might be kinda ****ing good.

It took about 2-3 Jazz possessions too long to sub out Rudy and Donovan(and I think Jingles, Rubio and Favors). That's 6 trips down the court and they were still giving an effort. But they knew the game was in hand and they were dragging big time. It looked like a recipe for injury.

My 2 bob. Eye test says Hoods defensive issues are overblown. He isnt great but nor is he a huge liability.

They were standing at the table ready to sub a lot of that time. There just was no stoppage after the other team took out their players. Could have fouled earlier.
